Suggestion on acquistion of Hongmoon skill books

At the present, the prices of Hongmoon books are out of control due to very low supply:

-Volume 2 chapter 1: cheap cuz some people spam yeti. Priced around 30g

-Volume 2 chapter 2: hella expensive, cuz people hate necro. It is now priced at 900g+ in NA.

-Volume 3: surprisingly stay the same through time, due to being a pvp oriented skill (except for Wind BD whose use it in PvE for some reason). Priced at 250-300g

-Asura Ember: nearly 600g, since it is an important skill for many classes.

-Offal of Darkness: Mast is popular as event dungeons and a grind spot for treasure pouches. Priced at 250g

-Offal of Silence: everyone hates Gloomross. Priced at 1000g.

-Volume 4: you turn from a basically free HM book that require some little efforts to acquire, into something that you need to buy/bid up to 500g. Well done, NCSoft.

-Hongmoon Pellet: it is not expensive, but require nagging clan members to craft it.

Assuming that you are going to buy them all, then it is going to cost you more than 3,000 gold. If you convert of HM coin, then it is more than 6,000 Hmcoin, which can buy US$75 worth of items from F10.

Assuming that you are going to buy them through two duelist bundles, it is going to cost you 2,400 Ncoin = US$30. And you can only do this on a single character, or multi character if you spread the two bundle's tokens

Assuming that you're going to pvp for them. Have fun grinding pvp, even though you are suck at pvp or absolutely hate it, or both.

Even if you only buy what you really need, the cost is still more than 2,000g.

The thing with HM books now is that their supply mainly come from either PvP or Bundles. You need extraordinary luck to grind this in PvE ways. PvE players don't want to pvp and won't touch pvp unless they have a strong motivation, like the recent "AFK" pvp event, where they can just afk for reward.

Tell PvE players to PvP for the books is like making a Husky Dog to live in Africa where heat is a problem for cold-climated animal. It is doable with certain preparation, but they are just not suit for that, and force PvP on PvE players just make them hate the game, or hate it more if they already hate it. The same way PvP players used to complain that they were forced to PvE to get PvP skills.

Back to the topic, the main way to deal with the lack of supply, hence expensive, is adding more supply, hence cheaper. Expensive HM skills hurt new players the same way ToI Fury tokens used to hurt them, where scarce supply make a single old bade cost 1,500-2,000g.

Some suggestions I can think of:

-Make an event where new players can grind for HM books. This must be a PvE event. Either a event dungeon or a dungeon train event. You don't give them for free. You still ask them to play the game for what they want. This, however, is only a temporary solution.

-Add HM books, offals from older dungeons that no one want to run like Necro, Gloomross... to newer and more common like Desolate Tomb, Ebondrake... This will increase the supply, hence cheaper F5 prices. Though it is preferred to make all drop trade-able, cuz the existence of bound and non-bound HM Volume 4 from Naryu Foundry hikes the cost a lot.

-Add HM books to Dragon Express, traded with Solar Energy. ToI badges do this, and players are happy with that.

-Add HM books to Celestial Basin.

-Add HM books to Achievement Vendor, using a large number amount of HM pages.

-For HM Pellet, allows to make them at one quantity, or make clan-crafted ones sellable on F5. Also, make another variant where it uses PvE materials instead of Training Certificates.

-Add account-bound books to Trove loot.

As you said my friend , even though i have been farming HM book from yeti more than 200 runs and still didn't drop which is a Big problem .... as well others from necro and from masts etc...

they should make Drop rate abit High at least but i don't think they wanna do this.... and you already know why !!

Just like Draken Bracelet drop was good but after 2 patchs they make it low drop rate alot .... 200 runs and still no drop which is sux now , but thats not what we talking about .. sorry !!

im so freaking agree with this...its just for a skills and its cost damn freaking expensive...vol 2 chapter 2 and offal of silence= the most famous afkers/leecher fav dungeon...and u need to grind in this dungeon kinda annoying when you party up with those ppl...as for asura ember pls boost their drop rate...its been ages since i see one from loot..we really need alternative way for this...

Generally, the game's main intention i PVE and PVP mixed so everyone has to do both at a point anyway to progress.

either way why make this so complicated?

They should simply make them available at celestial basin for peaches so players can grind for them.

In example:

Chilling Flame Elixir - 15000 peaches + 25 Flowers of lament

HM Technique Vol 4 - 15000 peaches + 50 acrimor wings

Vol 1 - 20000 peaches + 100 HM Skill fragments

and so on.....

As for HM Pellet and Royal Zen Bean.....the bean should stay in the PVP vendor but the cost should go down from 4500 to 2000 which already is fairly easy to get.

also make the darn offals account bound like all the other HM skill items >.>
