The title tells all about it. BM escape skills are useless. You have to take people and protect them under your wing too. What's the name of this game?  Blade and Soul  or Spin and Soul or Magic and Soul ? What's about "signature move" of BM?  Block? are you going to block all the time in 6v6 or PvP ? They can just grab you and choke you to dead

Takes time to practice and understand what you can and cannot do in 6v6 but when it's done BM is lot of fun. Keeping 4 ppl locked on you while your team peacefully capture objectives is satisfying AF, wont talk about One Shot KO combos here, but still HM Z + 4 is dope.

Yes BM is weak.

Play BD, most OP pvp class.

bm isnt that weak in 6v6... the only thing that you need is what another person said... learn what can you do and what cannot do... for learning there is the hard way which is play battleground and die a lot or the easy way which is going to arena and spend time to learn how to beat all the classes, your strengths and weakness points... this happens with all the classes... i mean today i saw a youtube video of a very low kfm in rank 9 of beluga, the reason for him to be that high is because he knows the class and his role in battleground (plus a rng factor of the match making) but he in all the battlegrounds is aware of his lack of equipment but he still makes an effort to play the class to the full potential, and it only can be achieved playing pvp on the class... obviously some classes are harder to play and some are easier but every class has a learning curve...

As a BM main, just my 0.02 about the class in 1v1:

Pros:

  • HM Z + 4 is an absurdly funny way to instantly gib someone. (who has far worse gear by the way, you aren't doing this to anyone with equal gear.)
  • Fire build is quite devastating against single targets. (provided Ascendant buff is up.)
  • V + X is a surefire way to troll direct target ranged skills while you go to town on them. (provided they don't drop some AoE skills on you that knock you up/down, then you're screwed as they can keep you that way till X runs out.

Cons:

  • Distinct lack of on demand long duration/multiple hit iframes.
  • Distinct lack of snare breaks. (FM and WL will destroy you completely while keeping you stuck in place the entire time.)
  • Block is utterly useless, stun block like what WL has and what BM HAD would be actually useful now.
  • Complete inability to disengage from unfavorable fights. (BM simply cannot run from anything, no speed boosts aside from SS (which any class also has), no reliable slows and no leaps.)
  • The above also means complete inability to catch others running.

In a nut shell, in a 6v6, BM tries to 1v1 people while everyone else is actually playing a 6v6. The lack of iframes/escapes kills this class as the moment you are focused, you die. Without reliable iframes and or escapes/gap closers/speed increasers you cannot get away nor can you break free. It gets better with a max Ascendant weapon so that BM's CDs are reset more often but it doesn't really cut it. HM block/block is useless as you can be easily interrupted while using 1 and transitioning to the 3 second resist with F; block is direction dependent unlike spins which are 360 degree. Blocking requires you to be facing the exact area of threat (and hope that they aren't using parry pierce skills which will cut right through anyways). This makes it useless in 6v6 as there are simply too many angles of attack.

Losing the stun block was IMO quite a heavy nerf to BM in 6v6. It's effectiveness can be demonstrated aptly from BD spins and the deflect that comes with that spin. Not entirely sure why BM had to lose the 0.5 second block stun where as WL and BD kept theirs (in the case of WL, it's spammable just like BM).

BM isn't a class that is suited for 6v6. It cannot under any circumstance lead in as it has no decent duration iframes to open with as would be needed when charging. Neither does BM have the necessary escapes to get out of the initial focus fire, BM basically needs of meatshields to do well in a team environment.

This won't ever happen if your opponents are equally geared. HM Z + 4 is roughly 50% gib, but you don't have much to follow it with and most classes could easily just use their escapes to get away as you've used Z. Compare this with a BD unload that can 100-0 anyone in a single stun, it's clearly not nearly as effective.

By the way 2 FMs would destroy any BM, the BM would have zero chance.
