So they made it so you can salvage 4 penta gems to make a hexagem, Yay! But do people just have a bunch of penta gems just lying around? Because that's what the update makes it sound like. That people have just been sitting on a bunch of penta gems.

I saw that the powder drops from some dungeons too probably the same ones that dropped radiant energy.

You can purchase penta gems in express with solar energy. 

 

30 solar = 1 penta gem = 1 gem powder

Square gems cannot be salvaged. They're basically worthless now, since combining them into a penta still costs 1 gem powder.
