Vote Kick - Add an UI to know who has voted

Recommended Posts

Vote-kick is kinda annoying when you don't who in the party has not yet voted an Offline Player for fresh recruitment. Some players claim they have voted, but they actually did not, so it is somewhat rare to see a successful kick to happen.

I suggest to add a checkmark next to voters to know who not yet votes. Similar to current Whistle.

And what would this change? Nothing, except giving you a target to pressure someone into doing something.

People probably have their reasons to not vote-kicking someone.

I don't see a reason to not vote-kick someone going offline during the very first entrance of Tower of Memory, for example. You either have to bear 5-man it, or leave and make another not-in-progress party.

People have their reasons to not vote kick -> If the one who get vote-kicked is their friends, they can always say so, especially when they have a mean to know if he comes back or not.

The rest is just pure laziness and hinder the group performance. I'm sick of doing the first boss of a dungeon (Naryu Sanctum, for example), someone went offline and never came back, and we cannot do anything about it aside 5-manning since we already clear the first boss. Everyone agrues they have vote-kicked and don't even bother to check if he actually votes or not, cuz of his inflated ego or whatever. We even told it in chat about our votes, then just to have someone did not vote, despite that we all agree we need to do the vote-kick.

It is like whistle: everyone knows that someone is not here ready to tackle the boss cuz reasons. With voice chat and the knowing of the name, we can still actually call that player back, assuming him just alt-tab to surf webs for a few minutes. Handy when you know how to use it. If you don't see a use of it, then it is your problem, but it doesn't mean it is entirely useless.

Btw, maybe you don't know, but if you have an offline player and someone new enters your group through LFG, the whole vote-kick session will be reset, leading to people believing they already voted but actually not.

Authoritarians don't like it when people don't do what they want them to. It's kinda like how there are people who demand a "seen" marker on messages on every chat app that lacks these.

How did you even come to this conclusion about this suggestion is beyond me. What is wrong about having transparency when it comes to group play? Remember that vote-kick is a group effort, and you cannot actually pressure someone to do it if they have good reasons. The only thing about checkmark is that it helps to know whether someone misses his vote due to carelessness.

How? What other people click or don't click is none of your concern, that's how. Whether they vote or not is entirely up to them. Also you can't prove that someone didn't skip voting on purpose. Saying they miss it due to carelessness is literally just you assuming things.

In regard to vote kick being a group effort - it might be, but it's not mandatory. And YOU can't make it mandatory. Also you can't pressure someone to vote even if they don't have what you deem as "good reasons". You can initiate another vote kick and it's their right to not vote again or to vote a denial, again. If you thought that your opinions, decisions and choices are better than the ones other people make, you should consider the fact that they're better only for you and you alone (logical deduction), just as theirs are better for them or not impactful enough for them to bother to make a choice.

The Vote-Kick option with displaying who voted is already in game files. CN server had this before EU/NA even existed. NCsoft probably not enabling this because people can abuse it, by kicking player out at the end of boss (if party is bunch of friends with a random guy). - But they should add vote to in-game survey if people want this added or not, and let community decide, Instead of NCsoft deciding them selfs.

They could atleast add it for a week to test, And second week make an in game survey, asking feed back.

If there will be more positive votes, Then yay - Can keep it and if not it's not the end of the world and can always disable it >.<
