i also think going for the 8 sec cooldown is a way better choice because you getting the buff consistently.

Short CD: Sustained DPS (Raid, long boss fights)

Long CD: Burst DPS, Rankings (F20, ToI, 6v6)

Depending on the class i guess.
For burst classes (Im not an expert but i think for example like sin and SF?) the 1min cooldown soul might still be the best.
For most classes it will probably be the 8sec cd soul

I'm not so sure about sin, but for SF, Right Punch does A LOT more damage overtime than Dragonfury after Focus Chi. Even Iron Shoulder does more damage.

 

 

Pretty much as amokk said, it depends on the situation, ect. Maybe a party full of raven users could benefit more from the longer cd soul. So gear possibly has a say in what path you choose.

Yea, Shadow Sins will probably want to further enhance their burst damage (which is their forte) but going short CD soul is also valid.
