Can't Get Past "The Way of the Summoner Part 1"

I played for about 15 minutes just hitting c and v and watching Hajoon get knocked down, but it never once counted towards the quest. I picked up the game again after a year or so, and I remember this being a bug all the way back in beta... have they seriously not fixed it? And can anyone tell me how to get past it so that I can continue with my Summoner?

It's one of the more annoying ones for sure.

 

The trick is to wait a tiny bit before pressing C.

So V --> Hajoon falls --> C

it doesnt seem to be working still :/

I'm also stuck on this quest. I think it has to do with the fact that the target dummy dies before i get to pull off my combo. 

Anyone have a solution for this?
