They've already explained why it can't be changed. The maintenance needs to be done in NA and EU at same time so they try to avoid peak times for EU and NA - thats a lot of different timezones.

It can be changed. They just don't want to, or it's at the end of their priority list.

@amokk If they wanted to move it into morning in EU, they would need to do it at night in US. That would mean bringing in employees at night or do the maintenance with skeleton staff only. Bringing in employees at night would cost more money. Doing maintenance with skeleton staff only can cause problems if something unexpected happens.

 

They can't do maintenance at different time in EU and NA. Both areas use same platform for account managment, chat and marketplace. If they try to do it at different times then during NA maintenance the EU game servers would be up, but players wouldn't be able to chat, use market place or do any action that needs to access account managment (log in, use hongmoon store, switch between standard server/arena/dungeon lobby). So it's much better to do maintenance in both areas at same time.

I know all that. But NC has shown signs to seperate EU/NA - they even said in a maintenance notice that they implemented stuff to get this started... which was a long time ago.. It's not about "can't do", it's about if it's worth it... and it obviously isn't.
