Raven Soul Shield better than MSP legendary SS?

I was curious if using the raven feathers to buy the SS once I have enough would be a good idea. Is there something else I should get with the feathers or should I stick to MSP legendary SS?

 

It's a weekly raid so of course it's gonna take some time. I haven't heard much talk about the raven SS though so I was wondering if it's any good.

Yes, Raven is generally better than MSP. Its the next tier of legendary soulshields so I would hope it would be. Certain builds do not benefit as much from 3-sets as others so it depends on your class and chosen build. 8-set Raven is almost always better than 8-set MSP.

Of course raven is better if you are a whale, but for casual and f2p players, like me, it's easier to get Full8 MSP with critical on each shield + 2-3 layers of upgrade which is better than 1st random 8set from Skybreak spire, that  also takes longer to get if you are not whale as I mentioned.

If you're active in a raiding group, I would save the feathers for your upgrades.  It's 60 feathers to upgrade a legendary BT accessory from Stage 1 > Stage 10 (I think it's 60.  might be little less).  Depending on class, the shield can possibly be a big DPS boost.  As for me, I'm a BM, so the shield, isn't really that great (since we don't have the buffed set effect from KR)

 

Getting Stage 10 Ele Earring is much better than Soul shield imo since not only it affects your DPS, but the debuff it gives affects everyone's as well.

In short, yes, Raven is better than the Legendary MSP SS.
