Seriously, when did BnS become a virus / rootkit?

 

This is NOT something a legitimate program should EVER do.

 

 

Can't stream anymore, not gonna buy a second PC just to stream this shitty game.

this is a security system for the client to dont use other programs to inject .dll to have bots and other modifications of the game (cheats) , i have seen this in alot of games :) , being a beta tester :)

It's still bad form to hide your program; if you want to fight bots and such do so within your program somehow, hiding the process like this hurts regular users a lot more than the botters. You can already see several other bug posts in this forum that stem from the process being invisible (e.g. client already running errors) and without the ability to kill the existing process there's no quick fix. Likewise, I tried targeting the Blade and Soul window with my ProcessExplorer to see if it could identify what was running, and it froze up both ProcessExplorer and my system sound for some reason. This is obviously breaking more things than it fixes.

Gameguard has always been a rootkit.  This is how it works.  It does seem to be showing more blatant malware features lately, though.

Easy anti-cheat is a better and safer security sistem.... cloud protection ...
