Falanyr
I've recently started attempting to beat Naksun on 15f of Mushin's tower. After much frustration I've reached the icicle phase and I'm slowly learning the timing on how to iframe those awful attacks, however...On very few attempts has he actually bothered to follow up with his combos between icicle drops. Usually I can parry said combos and phantom grip his counter to buy my iframes a little more time to cool down...But most of the time he'll just drop icicles on me. If he doesn't oneshot me, he'll just jump back to the middle and do it again. And again...And again. Naturally my iframes aren't going to be off cooldown by that point, so I'm at a loss. Am I doing something wrong here, or is this just another version of Junghado panic-spamming his black dragon sword when he starts to lose?
Cheung
I've noticed this too. When floor 15 was released i had no problem to defeat on my FM with 533AP, now that i got 630AP, i have some difficulty because of this same mechanic, even if i use Q & E, next phase i do sheat, then frost armor, then i do the Q & E again, by that time max i can do is grip him for some secs, but still the CD isn't done yet and him start to drop circles again... Falanyr
@Cheung That almost sounds like he's triggering because you have too much DPS, but...In my case I'm barely scraping at 500AP here, so I don't think that's what could be happening on my part :( He seems like a very fickle boss! 8 minutes ago, Naramnarana said: Do you have chance to dps betwee the cycles? I very rarely get chance to DPS between cycles, most of the time he'll drop icicles, do that four-part combo (the one where he kicks you into the air if successful) and jump back into the middle to drop more icicles again. It's like...One in three tries I'll actually get chance to DPS him between icicle drops. Outside of the small window where he's casting the ice attack, of course ^^

Outside of the small window where he's casting the ice attack, of course ^^ Take the punches to the face, avoid kick up and dps again. you have around 20-40 seconds between each ice phase depending on the amount of damage you did. I sometimes have 3 ice phases without the combo phase. so he just jumps on the same place and starts next ice phase. (And yes I somehow manage to survive as a warlock most of the times), even though blocking the knock up makes it easier for block classes.

You don't need to do that much, but almost nothing he jumps again to the middle. Here is what I do: I do Sheath when he starts the circles. This lasts just for ice shots. Then I use one I-frame and start dps, to avoid aerial combo. keep mid distance to avoid jumps (like 5-7 meters). You must know the rhythem on how he approaches for aerial. I take all other hits. What I did not find out was when cc works, it does sometimes. Sometime though I manage to get killed :D
Falanyr
Thanks for the tips! I managed to clear him yesterday evening, thanks to this advice (and not getting dropped out of combat while I'm parrying his attacks...) - Much appreciated! Quote What I did not find out was when cc works, it does sometimes. It usually works after he uses his counter, assuming you can't grab/cancel that defense anyway, if that helps! He seems to resist it all for the most part before that, though :(
