Legendary accessories

So is it better to keep upgrading my hongmoon accessories regardless for salvage purposes whenever one has obtained a legendary accessory? Like what's the cost differences of upgrading the accessory versus buying the upgrade jewels straight up.

Salvaging -> saves you : 30 x 20g = 600g

 

Upgrading to that point, you will spend some gold yes, but its over time and not at once to upgrade 1 accessory, Plus: how do you expect to deal decent damage to clear the dungeons where the legendary accessories will drop if you wont have any decent ones to go in there with?
