Thank you for the dps meter

Thank you for finally listening to our wishes by implementing the meters. Even though there are some complains here and there by the casuals on the forums, most of the serious players are actually grateful about this. You saved us the trouble of having to use third party dps calculators in dungeons that aren't entirely accurate.

 

If you're here to qq, disagree, cry about elitism, or whatever, go aheah and let me feed off of your tears.

Yes.  At least it isn't some third party app.  

 

I'm not worried about elitism.  It is alive and well as prevsiously mentioned.  As a tool for helping players improve the dps meter is a welcome QoL addition.  But, it also depends on how it is implemented.

 

We will see, but this is a direct response to players requesting it.  So, thanks NCWest.

I hav a feeling that the once elitists will be on the lower end of the meter. After all its a damage per second meter. Not a compare my ap/stats to yours. 

 

Fms likely will be near the top just due to the way their rotations are. 

 

But I think each class is designed with its own efficient rotations. Therefore a meter should really only point out those who are struggling with rotations or with strategy. 

 

I wonder if ap will even be a nonfactor but im not sure. It is dm/time after all. 

 

Even with helix build (full shadow) wl's may be a little lower tiered too. I guess we'll see. Maybe there are videos of other players on other servers demonstrating the meters.

Dont wanna seem ungrateful or anything so thanks. Although...

 

...the vast majority of players are still hoping for fixes to your extensive server lag issues, haxor and bot control, party/group kick features, and other essential QoL fixes and updates.

 

But sure, thanks for the dps meter I guess.

I have the pleasant feeling that most of the ... serious..... players only need that meter to scratch their pixelated ego even more, that if they even manage to get over the middle of the scale of course..

Gladly! This meter will be in a good use to those who`s willing to improve their own fighting methods and achieve better dps results by changing elements of build and rotations.

This is the only real purpose i find in adding such metter.

So you couldn't do dungeons without metrically know how much you dps. Wow,we couldn't play the game without dps meter ,righto? I mean ,just wow,a tool very (NOT so much) needed.

Better fix the servers lag ,then measure dps-with this latency everyone have you would be surprised-i bet many will get angry while they see they ''have the skills for this test of wills'' -also have geared to teeth-but the game itself with ruin their fun while so bad optimised.Guess what,many will get angry and leave ,seeing they invested so much for so bad dps,haha-while lower AP with better performance/less lags -will dps ''harder''. 

Blah ,this tool is no needed.Fix the servers instead ,NCsoft- a real player knows exactly how much he can give at some point and whats optimal for him!

I support DPS meter but just like you said, BnS should fix the lag issue first.

I personally don't think I have much lag since most of the time I'm getting around 200 ping.

But for those who have high ping will always end up at the bottom of the DPS meter and get blamed for low DPS.

There is no skill that can over come high ping.

Yeah I am happy about incoming dps meter too, it's been awhile since i wanted to compare either with my friends or as in general interest.

 

Edit: But as some people above posted, I do agree that we need a better server, whenever I fight mobs or bosses I see my ping about 95-160ms which is absurd if I compare to the other games that has located servers in Frankfurt itself and obviously from where I live it has 30-45ms stable. So yeah..

With this words.. my hope dies, that i can check my build and rota at a dummy to make it better.. for what we need a dps meter in a 4man run with guildies? 

 

Hope that the new UI Element dont kill the performance, ( datareading and some blabla)

That is what im worried about. i still don't know all the details of dps meters but why isn't this feature on all the time in open world,raids and dungeons. I need to train with dummies more than stroking my ego on who got the biggest dps.  If i cant have that dps meter in open world this feature is pretty much useless.

Good from now on I will not grab bosses for 8 sec (yes I have the badge and yes sadly I cannot change to other anymore) Everyone gonna just focus on dps now, no more teamship. Also its good for me I am really tired to grab bosses every 20 sec. I needed some action. GG WP EZ

Come on, keep grabing and throw the boss in the top dpsler and show him what u think about his / her  dps xD

The addition of a DPS meter will just do what it has always done. Stroke the ego's of the keyboard warriors. People will push it even more, kill themselves instead of following tactics. Scream for smns to taunt even more, scream for sf's to heal even more. FM's will start to forget to veil or sheath, Hm block will be forgotten. just to top the dps charts. this game had no need for it. if they ever institute bosses in dungeon raids, not 6 man not 4 man but actual dungeon raids where the boss has 100 mil hp. then maybe, it could be useful. But until then it'll be a tool for those with horrible real lives to get on and grieve the rest of us with their leetness on a video game. or grieve those with horrible ping, while grieving the rest of us in parties as they are the first to run in, first to die, first to rage, first to leave a run while calling the rest of us noobs. don't fix what isn't broken and fix what is. SSP, latency, the stupid thrall / cat bug in dungeons that keeps you in constant combat long after a boss is dead. and a plethora of other things that severely need to be attended too. dps meter is far from what should be a priority.
