Believe me, the WEST players likes to be rewarded after hours of grind, we don't mind the grind AT ALL but we do mind getting nothing after all that grind.

This is why heavy RNG games just DIES super fast in the west, Wildstar, BDO, Aion. And games with soft/little RNG are still healthy like Wow, gw2, swtor, FFXIV.

 

Do it with me: ...Breath in.... Breath out... Repeat x2. Now.. Let me find those valeriana pills..

 

So, since now we're all chilled, I'd also like more ways to get moonstones, its a joke that they added them in F14-15..! You know how many people who need moonstones can't still kill Naksun? What Naksun, they can't even reach F14... Just place them as a drop in dungeons, or reduce the number needed, you're slowly making the game to be for cc warriors and no lifers only.. And yea, I'm not a casual player as well, but with these potato servers you have and all these hackers around, I refuse to do SSP. And if you don't know what I mean, make a char and go to ssp but in live servers, not in the test servers you have for streaming that its only you and yourself..!

As a game designed, you wouldn't plan your most difficult dungeons to be fluid and easy on every run for the average AP

Logically, 600+ AP, while achievable, is not intended for the average BNS player to achieve AS OF THIS PATCH

however, for people who have already reached this marker, in order to keep them somewhat interested in this game and have some goal to work towards.

 

Why not make the road extra grindy and difficult so they can slowly work towards legendary weapons and flash their epeens for the amount of work that went into it?

While yes, those who want an easy way out, can purchase materials or rng boxes to increase their speed at upgrading their gears while turning a profit for the company.

 

i've said time and time again, i started my SF when it was released a month ago.

I had almost minimal assistance, but i have experience, so i know what i should be using my time on every day. And i dont play my character like shit.

As a result, 60 gold+ per day is very easy to accomplish and do without sacrificing on loots that i need, using nothing more than a few casual hours a day. There are days when i don't have time to play because of irl commitments or other things that i'd rather do.

 

after one month of playing like this i can clear pretty much anything without being dead weight

 

TL;DR

If you are having difficulty clearing any dungeon after a couple months of play time 

you are either doing something wrong, or you are just really, really bad.

 

 

There might many be other reasons to have difficulties clearing one or several particular dungeon (regardless of your 600+ AP) than "doing something wrong" or being "really, really bad". It might be your first MMORPG and you are learning from scratch. You might have 320+ ping and have issues iframing and/or skill delays. You might have bad memory. Or poor sight. You might have to play with minimum graphics and Ctrl F all the time and this can confuse you in some instances. You might not be 15 years old anymore (people of ALL ages like to play games, and reaction time tends to get slower as you age). You might be ill, or have a medical condition, or an impairment of any kind, small or more severe, that make your reflexes not as fast as you'd wish. You might be having a really bad time irl for whatever reason and you can't focus very well. I could go on and on with the list. Should any of these cases be forbidden to play games and have fun with them in their free time? Should they be judged and insulted and mocked and told to "git gud" or go die?

I just wish people stopped seeing things in black and white, and realized there are countless possibilities in between... It would contribute to a kinder environment for us all and hence a lot more fun for most.

Because Stingers are now a lot less profitable and a very small funnel, the economy has to push for higher prices on the next best thing, Moonstones, and if that were to crash too then the economy will push it onto the next best thing, Legendary materials, and so on.

I seriously want to know how people are failing Naksun. He's endgame, heck even in-game rates him a lower difficulty than Gloomdross/Nexus/Masts/Sogun. Floor 9~13 are just reskins, and they all literally tell you the mechanics to the bosses. Hell, even Naksun can be beaten with a broken weapon.

 

The whole section takes roughly 30 minutes to complete and is guaranteed to drop a Moonstone with a chance for a higher income, meanwhile Konta/Grindtooth respawn every hour (10 minute pre-capture, 35 minute capture + mining, 5-15 minute Battle) and aren't even guaranteed to drop anything and cause far more FPS drops.

 

I won't deny that I had struggles with Junghado, Mushin, Ironheart, and Naksun, but like I said they're an endgame learning experience. We don't get better by just ragequitting on the first death and never run it again, no, we improve from overcoming mistakes. I'm sorry to say but if you think Naksun is a wall now, wait until we have Desolate Tomb/Ebondrake Citadel; the real wall begins then and there.

Soulstone pains (no, I did not mispell plains, it's written that way for a reason) can lag many people's pcs due to too many people.

2.  Mini bosses in sspains die too fast for some people to even get credit.  In my server higher ap people  have monopolized the moonstones, and even the daily quests for soulstones.  Which leaves alot of players who put in both time, effort ad frutration into helping defeat a mob for someone else's gain while we leave empty handed and robbed including from the quest item that requires a certain % to even get. (which is ridiculous, because its a freaking quest item.)

 

this problem could be solved by either making ssp only 10 man and creating 10 more channels or adding 10 more channels so we can go to uncrowded places with less lagg and input the damage that is required. So lower ap people are screwed in more ways than one and it will lead to unhappy /frustrated players who end up getting nothing for their efforts. hand outs? that only applies to the lazy, not to the people who actually show up to play.

Another option could be for NCSoft to change the channel structure for Soulstone Plains (SSP). Reduce the cap of players to 16-20 per channel for each side (hard coded and and a system to prevent party invites from exceeding this hard coded limit). Stagger waves to where they are offset instead of flooding both sides at once. Now for the channel structure setup.

 

  • 2-3 Cerulean Only channels (for quests and prestige only. no loot chests other than quest related items)
  • 2-3 Crimson Only channels (for quests and prestige only. no loot chests other than quest related items)
  • 8 Contested Channels minimum to start with more channels added. This is only for farming of Moonstones and Soulstone Plains Keys.

The above will fix the issue of channels being overcrowded and separate farmers from questing players. Faction only channels for quests, contested channels for loot, and all versions net prestige on this.

 

This is the only other avenue to improve the ability to farm Moonstones without pushing them towards PvE specific instances. Right now there are only 4 channels where everyone is trying to quest and farm on stacking up to what looks like 40 people in said instance from one faction. By cutting the number in half per channel and adding more you are spreading things out and allowing more people to get things done.

 

It comes out to 1-1.5 channels for Cerulean, 1-1.5 channels for Crimson, and 4 contested channels if you put it in the current setup mark of using the 40 member limit (estimation but was at minimum 30 people) that currently are in SSP.

 

To close out this post my previous posts were to create alternative ways that are accessible by players who aren't able to handle SSP due to high latency or their PC not being able to handle 40-80 people on the screen with everything going on without making the Moonstone an easily acquired item. Mushin's Tower floors 14 and 15 weren't good choices because latency is still a big factor in this issue. 4-man and 6-man instances are a bit more forgiving when it comes to latency issues. Blade & Soul isn't even close to being reasonably optimized for all the data it handles.

This was going to happen anyway, and doubtful it's the "Fix" they were talking about in the livestream.  These weekend bundles aren't permanent.

Wow. This just further proves my point earlier about them putting imbalanced faction servers together so that they could make money off of cash shop items. I originally just thought they were abusing the server transfers to make more money but now it's soulstones and moonstones in the shop too. Can NC get any worse?

Ya, it's really not much savings vs just buying them off the market.

Selling gold for Hongmoon Coin at the current 1:8 ratio? (Haven't checked today) means these are basically 3g 36s 25c each.  So you save about a gold at current market value and you get 5 coralites..

The soulstone bundle had 15 corallites.  They should have added more than 5 for sure.

Yes i really don't understand either other than people complaining about fps drop or latency when it's not even that bad compare to ssp.  And having moonstones there isn't bad either  (didn't feel like commenting the comments after your post) and yes DT and EC will be the real test to people. Won't be long until they start crying over that of how they can't get into groups for those dungs. And the folks that want moonstones for daily if we be so picky over groups for the dungs we have now, how is it fair to the people that doesn't meet your standards and how many people will join that toxic lfp and afk just to get daily done? Even if you form party and they meet your standards how will you know they will still afk while you fight  just to get an easy daily with moonstones?

 

Hmmmm....and don't even bring up the kick options cause no one should feel they should be discriminated from others....

when moonwater used to be endgame and it was soulstones that were harder to get, sure it took effort but i was willing to do it. i grinded soulstones and tears to make moonwater transformation stones. even if it left me with almost nothing each time, it was doable and i could upgrade gear slowly but surely. i also got the satisfaction of farming my own mats, making my own transformation stones for myself and friends. 

 

now that silverfrost is endgame it is so much worse. i have too low gears, too much lag, and am melee class, grinding SSP gets little or no rewards. too undergeared for battlegrounds and queues are so long for that even on the times it's the daily quest. in the past when tried to queue 12mins+ and no opponents so just give up. maybe i can beat naksun with practise i really dont know, i haven't beaten floor 8 in mushin tower yet (haven't really tried though). the reason is for just 1 moonstone isn't enough to get me to bother with it. i have no problems with stingers, can get them easily from dungeons. i have more than enough stingers. but, not nearly enough moonstones. can't get enough for upgrade let alone silverfrost transformation stone. i don't have the silverfrost merry potter recipe either. i would invest into buying the recipe if i could get an income of moonstones but i can't. the only moonstones i have is from few lucky times in SSP, merchant and the yellow pouches from that previous event. 

i am against buying moonstone from store or marketplace - it feels like i am buying my progression not earning it. no satisfaction from farming own materials and making own transformation stones = lose interest in game.

 

my entire guild quit BnS and moved to other games. i haven't played since the shadows of the innocents patch dropped.
i've been playing mabinogi instead which is really saying something o_o NCSoft NA actually got bad enough to make Nexon NA look like an improvement.   

to be honest though, they are both F2P games and i did not buy premium membership in either, but i spent a lot more money on one-off purchases and invested a lot more time into mabinogi than i ever did into BnS.

West NCsoft can adjust the dps requirment for field boss, or you can call the contribution dps of each players while fighting field boss, this will solve the reward box problem, as well as poorly optimise problem. but West NCsoft choose not to do it in that way, instead of it, put heavy RNG to solve it out, well, I knew many idiots will buy it, because these idiots love to be manipulated by game. what a pathetic.

to be fair though wasn't looking to cap everything in BnS either, just progress without resorting to buying moonstones :c

Instead of solving the moonstone problem, they now sell them for 269 nccoins, bundles of 10, so thats around 3€ for 10 moonstones. NCWest should be ashamed, selling endgame mats like this! Soulstones from last weekend was already bad, but now this.

Give us a normal daily income of moonstones, the only reason for people to grind dungeons is for some kind of rng drop, since stingers arent worth anything anymore.

Stinger = 50s --> Moonstone=5g, good luck to the new players who need hundreds of them, and gg NCWest for solving the problem by selling them in the store for 3€...

Frankly today I took stock of the items dropped by all the current end game dungeons.  The drops are so poor if the dungeon isn't a daily it isn't worth doing.  58M for the next Hongmoon level and the highest mobs give me around 300 exp per kill and the highest quests give around 26k.  I don't mind a grind for earning game items or experience but I do like them to be accessible without taking up every waking moment of my day.  NCsoft aren't in the least inclined to fix the in game problems because they aren't broken, they are the ones who have set the limits on the drops and when and where we get them from.  So you don't fix what aint broke you just put it in the store and put a price tag on it :D
