HM RMB and Full Dark

Anyone else playing Full dark atm? I know it's gonna get buffed in future but I recently got HM RMB and have gone full dark but the rotation can go a bit hit and miss especially with the 1 sec wait between RMBs ; whilst doing your  4, V , Leech, Rupture and the general 4 man boss nuisances. 

 

Aggro wise; I've been pulling aggro off FMs around 50 AP more than me since I've converted to full dark. Could also be because the most damaging RMB Ice doesn't generate threat and after going full dark none of my skills are aggro free. 

 

So; how are the other full dark WLs hanging in here? I feel like we should be rewarded more for being able to pull the rotation perfectly v/s the straightforward rotation on FMs and summoners whilst being much more tankier than us. What have we done to deserve this aha.

I've been playing with full dark build for roughly 3 weeks now. Ideally we should lmb after dimensinal volley hit or rupture but while in leech's siphon effect its better to just spam rmb without caring much about salvo hit imo and yeah since our rmb generates aggro we are starting to see bosses in our faces a lot more often than before which is not a big deal for me, we can block most of their simple attacks, backstep away or behind them (hoping to get wingstorm reset) or repulse, bastion if i am in a real tight situation. However i can't say the same for my rotation, it gets messed up at some point unless i am getting wingstorm resets.

Here is how I do it:

You want to hit RMB at the same time or slightly before your V hits.

Note: V mean the time of impact of wingstorm and the your opponent, not the initiation of Wingstorm.

non-critical =   RMB > V > 4 > F > RMB

critical =   RMB > V > 4 > F > 4 >RMB

repeat =   RMB > V > 4 > F > 4 > RMB > RMB > V > 4 > F > 4 > RMB >

With good ping, you can pull this easily and see a bit of ani-cancle which is quite entertaining as if Warlock is 3rf-ing.

 

My opinion on full Dark build is that it is quite chi focus since most of the time I have to rely on weapon focus generation instead of mantra. Another bad thing is that it took a few hours in front of training dummies to figure how to work it.

Good thing is: it is a lot more fun than ice build. Honestly, I can't go use dragoncall anymore because it feels so lazy compared to dark build. And the agro is nice too, kinda throw at people face thinking WL is weak dps cuz they can't agro.

Full Dark Build WL's are huge burst dmg dealers and since ice rmb insta cast doesnt generate threat while dark one generates you wouldn't notice it. When i go dark build i end up taking agro alot even from legendary users (ranged and melee) especially FM's aswell who are more geared than me idk if its FM's rotation is bad or dark build itself is huge dmg can't be sure.

 

There is no perfect rotation for Dark build all u have to do is improvise and keep spamming the skills and reducing "v" cd all the time using rmb-salvo but dark build benefits alot from HM Mantra, HM rmb and HM Helix, u can literally spam the costly rupture! Oh one thing though always start with rmb before casting 'v' and as Ganhur mentioned u see urself cancelling lot of skills easily even cancel the mantra cast/'v' cast and salvo cast with 4+f done consecutively and immediatly with good ping.

I've been using dark build the whole time.  I can't get used to Ice build, it feels way too slow.

I usually do this - RB > V > 4 > F > RB > RB > 4 > F > RB > RB > 4 > F > RB > RB - Repeat.  (This can almost be accomplished by just mashing 4, F, RB like a fool while Wingstorm is ticking away)

I always hard-cast the first Wingstorm, Siphon the 2nd, and Imprison the 3rd.  By the time the rotation is done, you can hard-cast Wingstorm again.  I'll only ever overlap a Wingstorm if it's mega burn time then it's V > Siphon > V > 4 > 4 > 4 > 4 

 

Once in a while you'll miss a salvo so just RB > LB > F > RB Repeat until Wingstorm back up.. maybe 1-2 cycles.
