Game Crash?

So I've had this game on my computer for a while (only played once) and finally got the chance to play again today/tonight. Everything runs smooth, I choose my character and get ready to play - but as soon as I get to the loading screen after, it stops responding? I wait for a while to see if it'll come back but instead I'm only left with the option to exit. I have no idea what the problem may be, as I've played this game once before. I tried creating a new character but had the same problem.. Is there something I can do to fix it? Does anyone else have this issue?
