Future Dungeon AP Predictions

Recommended Posts

July 20th Shattered Mast and Gloomdross Incursion - 500-520ap for  6 man and 580-600ap for 4 man.

Desolate Tomb predicted to be released somewhere during August or September - 540ap for 6 man and 620ap for 4 man.

Q4 October - December dungeons

Ebondrake Citadel - 560ap for 6 man and 650ap for 4 man.

These are my predictions since the Producer Letter said you won't need legendaries for any of the content this year. And this seems to go with the flow of the majority of the active playerbase as right now most players are at the 450-550 mark. During next month or so it would shift to 500-600 and by Q4, it would be 550-650.

Please stop this non-sense with AP numbers ...

Boss 3:

  • Boss has 42 million HP in JP/TW (64 million in CN)
  • ... so that means everyone else needs to do 28,560,000 damage; his enrage timer is 8:20.

You do the math. When will you guys realize AP isn't the ONLY factor.

I agree that crt rating, crt damage, piercing, and acc are important too.

people only care about AP because there isnt another thing to judge.

On China people search for Guys with a special weapon or somth else

There are other things to judge and some cases the other stats are more useful than just pure ap. its just that the premade party invitation bar only has a limited amount of space so people can't fit that much words in. Thats why they just go for the most simple stat which is ap.

Gloomdross Incursion/Shattered Masts is actually easier than Sogun in terms of difficulty, and mistakes aren't too punishing as Nexus (instant wipe). However, the bosses don't give an AP buff and they do try to heal a lot, so mechanics still cannot be ignored. Their HP isn't a gigantic jump from Asura, so roughly 450 AP for 6-man and 500 for 4-man is the bare minimum.

Desolate Tomb/Ebondrake Citadel are massive difficulty spikes; their final boss has 42 and 34 million HP, respectively, and you have to have an Assassin/Summoner in Ebondrake Citadel to clear mechanics. They will literally kill themselves for you for doing mechanics correctly, and every single player has to be on point or the boss will never die; you can't 1 player carry anymore like in Sogun/Nexus. Minimum would roughly be 500-550 AP for 6-man and 600 for 4-man.

Corrupted Infernal Lord hurts himself for 32% or 13,440,000 of his health and gives everyone an attack bonus to help melt down his remaining 28,560,000 HP. Same thing with Bale Phantom Zakhan.

The 28M is already after the 13M deduction from his full 42M HP. ;p

But knowing NA, we likely will end up with the 64M version like CN.

AP will only help in Shattered/Gloomdross since they do not have much mechanic, anything else from Desolate and up require teamwork, communication and co-ordination, a single mistake can easily wipe the party. High damage is good of course as it allows you to push phase and stuff, but if everyone doesn't work together you will still end up wiping. The other problem I see for NA is the lack of players that actually willing to tank and knowing how to tank, you definitely do not want someone kitting the boss around, running away with bosses while having agro, etc. After tanking all these dungeons up to Hell Furnace in BnS TW, having a proper tank makes things a whole lot easier.

Ebondrake citadel you will need the resist phantom brand by the belt or bracelet and he has 30+ million in tw so 560 isn't really gonna cut it because you need other people to have higher ap to cover for your damage and desolate tomb is 41 million health and that is around 600+ not very sure because i have not tried it but be aware that these dungeons are reliant on mechanics as well so best to watch a vid or two to understand it. As for Shattered Masts and Gloomdross Incursion, Gloomdross won't be too hard for 6 man or 4 man once you get the dungeon. Shattered Masts for 4 man need some good mechanics for it cause there will be a increase in health for 4 man.

What is the hardest dungeon in KR right now? also I heard after legendary stage 10 there will be Dragon Tiger?...is it true?

ps:people ask for high AP because they want to skip mechanics...its reasonable...you farm everyday the same thing, you get bored to play by mechanics,to waste time etc...you want something fast because you farm!
ps2:Watched Desolate Tomb on youtube...shouldn't that dungeon be renamed Mecha Tomb of Exiles since is the same dungeon?:))

I witnessed 6 different teams in Sundered Nexus just up and quit after wiping. Every team, accept the last person, just quit. These were players with over 600AP, HM lvl 8 - 10. Not all of them but half the teams. Even those HM lvl 4 - 7 members had 550+ AP. But still they all gave up and quit after the first wipe. It wasn't the AP that was the problem, it was the players not knowing the mechanics and properly using their CCs when it called for it. So the argument that AP is the most important is a false narrative. People who push this narrative are doing a disservice to the community.

The truth of the matter is not knowing the mechanics or hitting CCs at the proper time in a dungeon is the problem. Sadly, I didn't get to complete my daily challenge because I'd had enough of the quitters. When people tell me AP must be, I laugh at them and move on. You could have AP 1000 but if you do not know how to effectively use your class, CCs, or fight mechanics, that AP 1000 is just a number.

Phantom Brand Reduction comes from Python/Asura Bracelet, while Resist Phantom Brand comes from Awakened/True Python Bracelet; Belt has nothing to do with Phantom Brand. You also need to have an Assassin or Summoner present to do mechanics Ebondrake Citadel mechanics. You actually only need to do 20 million damage to Zakhan since he hurts himself for 10 million of it, not to mention he gives AP buffs. 560 maybe, but 600 seems a bit excessive.

Desolate Tomb/Ebondrake Citadel are still considered difficult no matter how you look at it. Continuing on are even more challenging instances. "Blind 1-player carries" stop at this point.

Higher AP only means more damage being pushed out, but it doesn't mean anything if they don't know how to play their class or the dungeon and just drop dead and stay that way for the entire battle. AP is not a measure of skill, and you literally cannot ignore mechanics back during Moonwater Era and now ever since Yeti in Silverfrost Era.

I've been in a bunch of "600 AP 4-man EXP'd" Yeti and Sogun and people still drop dead (even BEFORE Yeti does his heat vacuum), and in Nexus people have no freaking clue how to correctly bomb, block the saws AWAY from Drill Sergeant, block Heavenpiercer in the aura, and just CC in general. I've even once been blamed for trying to stealth escort against Iruga's adds because someone decided to ignore me and rush ahead, and then there's people who think Ken/Gen 4-0 > 2-2 when in fact it's much slower.

It's these things that want me to move over to Asia servers. They don't have silly AP requirements (TW/JP don't have an inspect feature, while KR/CN simply don't give a damn) and have the patience of a rock.

This is why we need dps charts ASAP. To weed out the good and bad players. I've found that many players with legendary weapons are just as trashy as the undergeared cheapskates

That's because most don't try to learn their class. They just gear up by any means necessary and hope the damage alone will help them through it.

JP requirement for sogun is true profane :) but the only thing that keeps most of the older players here is ping alone

Stats Doesnt Offset knowing how to do the dungeon stop it.  These clowns keep thinking that. even today ppl with partys of 550+ and 600+ can still wipe in soguns.  the day soguns came out i ran with a decent group of 450 AP and finshed it. with no wipes none. ppl that requests high AP requirements either want to finsh quickly or dont bother with the teaching. and no you can not throw a youtube link at everyone and say hey go learn. because if those videos wasn't there everyone would struggle so please think about it.

When you play here you play by statistics...70% of players under 500 tend to fail,die...while players over 550 know what to do...AP is not how much damage you do...it determine how old are you in game(except pay2win rich players).
Untill now over 70% of my parties under 500 AP failed Yeti/Sogun...while only 5% of over 550 AP parties failed Yeti/Sogun....so I kinda like statistics...not to mention 60% of the time players with low hm level and low AP tend to stay afk instead of playing while high AP players do not stay afk!
There are players with 450 AP who know what to do...but its hard to find ones...I admit...I build high AP parties and demand high AP and barely tolerate low AP ones...the reason is:

-Most of them stay afk,die in the first second, don't listen!
-They die in the first second of the boss fight and then they outbid you like they carried the fight!
-We farm everyday same thing over and over...we get bored...we want to get rid of them fast and take our payment...we don't have time to teach,to do mechanics,we want to farm fast!

Today I made a party of Naryu Labirinth by 600 AP+...not because that dungeon need that AP...its because I want to get rid of it fast,I'am tired to do that boring dungeon so i want to get rid fast of it...I didn't forget that I've done this dungeon with 420 AP when came out first, after you do same dungeon over 5 times you get tired of it and you play it for payment...and you kinda want it to end fast don't you?!

I myself was in the position of being kicked when Sogun Lament came out first...people demand 550 AP and I had 540 and got kicked for missing 10 AP...but I didn;t complained...I farmed...and now today I have 640 AP(not a single cent put in this game).

So in conclusion...statistics,numbers...its like you prefer Pagani over a Dodge Charger...no one said Dodge charger could lose but Pagani have more chances...its all about statistics...don't take it personally!

Lmaooo that was you. I was on during the last few hours doing my dailies and i did see someone ask for 600ap for naryu. I have nothing against that being 605 ap myself but i was laughing at that requirement when i saw it. Today i did Naryu with LFG and got a group that ranges from 440-500 except for me of course. And we did the dungeon extremely quick and smooth. You would barely see the speed difference between a party of 600 and 500 for something like Naryu cause both of them would blitz through naryu like butter. Naryu was made to be done by 400 so 500 is already massively overkilling it. The only time i would purposely use premade parties are for high end dungeons like sogun/nexus since those are harder.

About you being kicked when you have 540 for sogun. That actually makes sense since 4 man requires 560ap+.

Thanks for the Info. Since you have experiences with those future dungeons. What would you say should be the ap requirement for them? A fair ap requirement, not minimum but also not more than required? Assuming the group already knows the mechanic.

Utter and complete rubbish. There are players who have cleared sogun with the avg ap being 520. Go to youtube and google sogun asura low ap, tapsomebong. Its all there. People have cleared sogun 3 man with 490 ap that isnt even a perfect run, people have cleared sogun with the avg ap being 520 having 3 mins to spare. Its just sad that this version of BNS NA have many whiny bad players who often think a wipe is related to ap, that is why people belowing 600 ap, or 580 ap are generally not accepted in bns 4 man sogun. Some too, are just being elitists, who think because they had 650 ap everyone must be like them. If these elitist kids wants that, they should formed their own clique and run with their own people instead of demanding pugs players having their rubbish way of thinking. At this rate sooner we will see NCsoft claiming one that does not need legendary weapons for currently content to be untrue, not because their words are false, but because of the terrible attitude of the NA players.

My suggestion to such problems is simple: make it mandatory for people to clear a certain level of mushin's tower before they are allowed to do dungeons in 4 mans, and the introduction of addons like recount in WoW.  It is not a perfect solution since people can pay others to clear the tower for them, but at least its a deterrent. Its time the general population of NA stop being pampered like kids. They need to learn how to play and stop qqing over simple things.
