Crazy Sebo
A couple days before I just realized that high lvl players come to dungeon with very low AP like in topic. Mostly summoners but overall all classes. I'm not an AP police or whatever. I just like to see people's configurations like how their soulshield setup or their weapon and accessory progress. And now I don't even mention that high lvl players come to dungeon and sit and do nothing but bid over items thing but now I see these kind of people. I don't know if this is some kind of high lvl community action to protest something but it's really annoying. Or hacked servers?
Lunakitty
Seems to me like a bot or char that will be sold as I saw few times HM6+ saying it's his first day on that char.
Arkragon
A lot of those exist. I'm pretty sure they're bots. Seen a ton of HM8+ characters with 350-ish AP, using Stormbringer weapons with two triangle gems socketed.
Vau
i see it alot too, i really dont mind helping out people with less gear and experience. but when they join group, dont listen at all, and have not put any effort into their character it drives me nuts. those kind of people tend to do thing with the auctions to drive players insane too. i had one guy that always bid minimum and always waited till the last second to put his bid in just to annoy players and encourage them to give up on the piece of loot. if someone did that in real life they would probably end up with a broken nose lmfao. DirectorTseng
Yeah they are bots, I see them alot in cross server and if we get one we wait till they enter the dungeon, have the party leave and the leader take you back to the lobby. It kicks them from pt cause they won't leave on their own and you can't kick them.

I usally bid 1s in the end. It makes them give up pretty fast. Also I see someone like the pic OP posted I leave the party. Having low Gear is one thing but being too lazy to gear up is another. They can leech from someone else.

Shuchin
Except for the weapon, that is quite ok gear for casual if your game lifestyle is that you do not want to have anything to do with the horrible gold sink that is the Hongmoon evolution pathway. XD That said, I know almost no casual gamer (and I am heading a casual clan) who would not give in to the Hongmoon temptation and then get stuck on some low stage instead (like the True Profane mentioned above). That's probably the easiest indicator for telling a casual amateur from a professional (i.e. for money) char-leveler. Just want to mention again that I do not approve at all of general AP discrimination. Casual players can easily end up level 50 by following the general campaign quests and not know much about gear at all. Many of them do not know about AP diamonds, for example, or think some other diamond would be nicer value. Consequently, the AP discrimination in cross-server end-game comes as a (nasty) shock to them. :(
DomiSotto
The player is not 320, it's almost 360. All of his gear are the purple drops from the dungeons. Meaning, s/he cannot afford the costs of the accessories on this toon because he is likely just playing & enjoying it, not grinding or he transfers all income to a main character. And it showcases just how bad those purple drops are. My alt is Level 50, HM4 He has 440 AP, with a mix of the Labyrinth and Scorpio shields; Oathbreaker Mainhand, soul and an eclectic combination of the Oathbreaker and HM accessories. I am trying to gear him up, but he was a child of the two leveling challenges, so he leveled fast, and his gear always lags behind, because everything is so expensive now with all the chars leveling. Things like Machismos and stuff. Not to mention that to go from Infernal to the Siren accessories it costs more in gold (29 gold) than to go from the Siren to Oathbreaker (26 gold). Per accessory. A lot of drops from the wheel get used up on the main, so your second-born is at a bit of disadvantage. You also have to find the time to run stuff like Mushin's Tower, while still having to farm Daily Challenge, SSP and Brightsone ruins. I only run the LFP on him, and never do the dungeons above his level of gear. But I have been through the Necro runs with a lot of new alts like him, with the HM levels 2+ and low gear. We had to 6M Lycan before defending the posts, like in the good old days. I have not played the game for the original 45 release, and by the time I caught up on level 50 content people were way ahead and geared, so now with my alt, with the LFP, I live the life of the guys who first played that content w/o gear. But we do have levels on them. Even Naryu can be hard on the low-geared alts. Finally, I bet a lot of folks like having PvP alts as well, and those require PvE to progress for the HM skills unlocks, so need a modicum of gear, so you might be seeing that modicum. Arena PvP does not generate the income necessary to gear up, so levels could be high, but gear is low. The NC Soft could have helped by making the accessories account-bound, but well, the answer is 'no' and folks wants to play the alts, even though the NC Soft is actively discouraging it. But, well, I prefer the low geared LFP alt-parties that work together and persevere to the overgeared ones that yell you are a noob the moment you took a wrong turn in a dungeon or wasted 5 sec of their precious time. Lone Dragon
Some of you are talking about how it's some new player or some alt. Stop. Please. Call it for what it is. Everyone like this is pretty obviously an Arena bot/afker. These clowns AFK 3v3s and after a few thousand matches reach high HM level while never upgrading their gear. When you post a lobby they occasionally join hoping that you don't notice. In China we sometimes hear of Prisoners being forced to grind gold for their wardens. This is not a joke and this is actually real. Next time you see one of these guys also consider that it might be a prisoner in China playing. Which is why I believe this game should be region locked. Only NA/EU players for NA/EU Servers.

That's getting to the point of insane, and makes me question the morality of the company who creates a game that allows income for such exploitation, and the game currency-to-real money connection even more. I certainly will never buy money on the currency exchange. The game is supposed to be entertainment....
Shuchin
It is amazing how people's psychology is working in that a prisoner scandal headline would be relevant for their decision on how to use or evaluate an online game monetization scheme. o_O Just for your info, prisoner abuse is happening in all countries anywhere, it's a horrible thing, and being forced to play a computer game for gold/money is on he more harmless side: https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2003/dec/11/prisonsandprobation.ukcrime1

Currency exchange is a valid way for F2P players to get access to HMcoin for premium content while giving NCoin buyers an option to legitimately obtain gold through their credit card. I don't know if it really happens in this game, but it definitely happens(happened?) in World of Warcraft for Third Party Gold buying. No prison warden would have their prisoners grind to get untradable HMcoin on the accounts. Prison wardens will sell the gold to gold selling websites as a "gold provider" and the websites in turn sell it to players.

Currency exchange and the hardships created by the game itself is what gives the game gold the value in the real world, and that's what I do not like. I do not like it that there is a way to convert real money in the game currency, and that there is such an acute need for it. Only if gold buying is "why bother?" nobody suffers, neitherthe players, nor people in real world.
spongemike
Got a group lvl 50's to do the blue dungeon yesterday. Everyone is pretty well gear average is around 500AP one guy was like 670 AP I think. Anyways we started clearing trash when we get to the boss people go int he room and we start attacking. Funny thing I notice the hp of the boss isn't going down much. Then I started to look around and notice only 3 out of 6 people is actually in the room attacking. I was thinking that's it and leave the room, follooow by the 670AP BM and a summoner. We clearly told the other AFK member we aren't doing anything till they either start helping or they can leave the group. 2 of them left but 1 started started and qq and complain. He left after a min and we 3 just kill the boss. I mean is stupid because is a blue dungeon if they all chip in and dps it takes like a min or less. Why be an *cricket* and afk on the boss on purpose? Good thing no one pull this yet on any purple dungeons. If they do I am going to start making my own group. I hate it when one or two people in nerco when straight to the center and wait till the portal to the room where the boss is. I can solo the weaves of demons fine but why should I work when you chill. Have that happen once I stop defending the core and let it over run thus wasting the afk time. They smarten up and came to help.

I don't understand why anyone would AFK, but then again. People do not appreciate you playing your best, so why try. The other day I took one wrong turn in Naryu lab at the point you get to the final boss, which was like a 10 sec delay, and omg, someone just kept scribbling and scribbling on the map how I am a noob and all sorts of insults while we were discussing the Fujin/Rajin split (so, it's not like they were tapping their foot to start anyway). I hate dungeons in this game, but I am trying each and every time, but nope, not good enough. So, I am wondering, if I just AFK, I guess it will be the same result, people will hate me, so why bother trying.
Tsuchiryu
You try because people should lead by good example. Letting AFKers have it their way is rewarding bad example of gaming. Putting actual effort to some semblance of teamwork is good example. Bad examples you punish by blocking them so you'll never LFP with them again and not carrying their lazy asses when you can afford to look for another party with non-AFKers. Not trying is somewhere in between. You don't become an AFKer but you don't contribute by being a potentially good party member either.
kitcalie
A lot of these are bots or gold farmers. There are some (though not a ton) that are accounts that were hijacked by the scammers. Some are bots that will just afk at the start of the dungeon others will "try" to do the dungeon but generally will fail or only do certain skills. There are a few that are alts that people use to troll/bot. I only know of three people so far that have gear somewhat like the one in the screen shot (except that they actually have a true profane or the like wep) that are actually alts. The ones with the droped weapons are defiantly bots/trolls/farmers. unfortunatly NCSoft doesn't seem to do anything to the people like this =/ On jiwan we have about 6 that I can name off the top of my head. One even admitted that he bots on the character and was reported. Yet he is still farming Ruins like crazy on his HM 10 summoner bot... He even does ssp and GHS on that bot.
