Bhindu Posted May 31, 2016 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Having a spot of trouble with Naksun. Looked up other guides but they're all detailed guides for classes that I'm not fighting him with (Ex. Assassins, KFM's, Blademasters). I understood the mechanics pretty well but still haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet with my Force Master. Besides Iframing out of the 4th Martial Dance hit and CC'ing him every time he drinks a Soju during phase 2. I'm aware his Ice Aoe has to be Iframed and then I have to prepare for Martial Dance as he follows up with it afterwards as well. Like I already mentioned... mechanics? No problem. Just having trouble putting what I have to practice. As a side note... don't bother linking videos. I won't learn anything from them you lazies. While I'm at it... don't even mention Kaoling Ju's. Els Posted May 31, 2016 Share Posted May 31, 2016 In phase 3 (below 45% hp), I noticed that he will do that martial dance (the 4 hit combo that knock you up), if I get far from him (just a SS as a BM is enough to trigger it). Also, when the icicles drop, it hits during or slightly after his 2nd hit of martial dance. His usual combo in phase 3 is like He takes a long time and shot a bolt, Followed by a dash, Another shot Then counter stance At this point I use a defense pen skill, not sure what he does after. Sometimes he stays idle for a while, followed by a low kick. I don't think the resist potion is needed, I don't use it and it's too expensive. I don't know if that will help you though =/. Actually it does. I figured he'd do Martial Dance after the ice rings bursted. Not promptly after they appear. I'm aware of keeping checks on distance though. In phase 2 and 3 he'll always start throwing cups or he'll teleport onto you and start doing Martial Dance if too far away. Can be useful if you wanna try and bait his cups but he'll most likely do martial dance anyways after he chucks the last one. In my last few rounds before having to quit for a weapon repair I learned he can't be shoved away with 2 while being Phantom Gripped. Just like Mushin, he'll get thrown onto the ground right on top of me. Better to just absorb for some HP and focus or throw down Heatwave if I'm in Fire Stance. Phantom Gripping's less reliable though since Naksun has more times he's not affected by it than Mushin. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As for the ice aoes, he does martial dance before they drop, so i need to enter a resist state after the 1st hit, because the ice aoes will drop and KD during the 2nd hit. Bhindu Posted May 31, 2016 Author Share Posted May 31, 2016 Can't be too sure really... the guides I have read are somewhat incomprehensible or just list down his attack pattern with his "dangerous" attacks during the phases.
