Speedhacking, teleporting, no cd hack, RMT friend request spam - not a problem.

Someone upload some unwanted profile image - ZOMG FIX IT NAO!

Haha, but of course since surely it'll bring veeeeery bad image to the game if the players have sexually suggestive pictures in their character profiles, les gasp how HORRIBLE! Like pfft, this is seriously far from the biggest issues they have with this game yet nice to see they care so much about this, I mean tbh they are already driving players away with poor handling of bots/hackers etc. and this is just causing further bad friction between players and NCSoft.

Hacking, bots, RMT, bugging skills, party kick or perhaps faction issues if they acknowledge it, are in my thought that those would be NCSoft's priority.

But no, they are so obsessed with inappropriate profile picture issues when no one gives a flying f in the past few months...

Having a stupid system where people could simply re-name images and upload, rather than a character image generated FOR you was always going to have this happen.

Unless you change it to be in-game character as image (or) a file format that isn't easily modded you are never going to get rid of people doing this because they CAN.

And or course they (NCSoft) are going to react to this (again...). Parents with 10 year old's (or whatever the age) are going to be looking for this (given any opportunity), and if any image is seen on a person's profile what do think they going to do?.

It only takes a few dumb-asses to ruin everything for the rest of the community.

You do realise F2 profiles search is sandbox element only KR and Eu/NA has right? CN,JP and TW don't have this future.Only difference between KR and us is there you have also chat which we don't.

Seriously....

Disabling and taking away a small feature which makes the players happy. Us, the suckers who continue to stick around and pay for the game, servers, etc.... which there are so many other real issues plaguing the game.

B&S is not brand new, to the US market yes but not in other countries. Surely they could have prepared way better, and also could just make a "REPORT" button on the profile. Or have GMs approve photos before uploading. Maybe that's too much to ask for? It's almost like NCWest wants everyone to quit.

For clarification, this is not just about players uploading "inappropriate" images, it is about NOT allowing ILLEGAL and EXTREMELY offensive content to be uploaded AT ALL. We are rated M for mature, but that rating does not protect us for potentially legal issues that may arise from openly allowing ANY images to be uploaded. We were also excited to bring the feature back for players, but with the new loophole discovered (honestly, we thank you for discovering it), we must again disable the feature so it can be addressed again.

The existence of this issue does not negate the fact we have other priority issues that need to be and are being addressed in the game. This is just another one we have to add and work on as well. We try to tackle all issues that arise and exist.

You are bound by law in more areas not just those  pictures related ,  still it still doesnt changes the fact other ones are not being  properly addressed either.

Thank you sooo much North American community, for being "mature". (Ha! Maturity in North America...)
It's getting disabled again, because of a few people... now it's going to take longer than 2 months, and I doubt we're going to get it back this time.

Rather than placing the blame on the minuscule number of player who violated the ToS via profile pictures, lets instead blame NC who:

-Are so woefully incompetent they had to remove the feature entirely to "solve" the problem (like they do with every other perceived problem), and then failed even at that.

-So lazy they can't be arsed to moderate the few players abusing the feature.

Yeah, sorry bud - using a few players as an excuse for why something was removed from the community at large is just stupid. This one's on NC.

Once again, can you, for one moment, not assume we're all idiots? This isn't a legal issue; if it were Imgur never would have been a thing, nor the myriad other games that support similar features. This is a lazy issue.

if Ncsoft whould be guilty for some illegal stuff some guys upload it whould be the death for any kind of imagehoster or general every website who allowed to upload user generated content (filehoster, every forum with the possiblility to upload avatar's/signature picture etc. or websites like youtube).
