Does a ordinary update always take this long?

Just got back onto my PC for the first time in months, and started up Bns.

 

I have played this game before, so it's not like the initial download or anything, but it's 3gb and is craaaaaawwwwling along. My wifi is fairly fast; it has its moments, but generally is pretty good. I've been sitting here for half an hour or so, and it's only up to 3%. 

 

I stopped playing last due to the issue where it would crash the entire computer every 10 minutes. I'm praying that bug isn't still around... Please tell me it isn't.
