Character Profile Pic already exploited (again)

Any explanation on this? Since the changes aren't even a day old, maybe you should take a look into this... (clock added as timestamp/proof)

 

Also as a disclaimer, I don't try to name and shame, since this guy didnt do anything awful with his pic, but I guessed I would need proof that it's still not working as intended.

Tell me how the game would be able to tell the difference between an in-game profile pic and a custom one unless they use their own file format. I'd prefer if they gave us a "Report" button and banned those who uses offensive pics instead.

Some people retained their custom pics after the uploader was disabled. Do you know for sure this persons profile picture is brand new? My chars with custom pics had them, but they some times vanished then returned the next day lol. This game is a mess.

Technically it's not a bannable offense, because you're still taking a screenshot in-game.

They spent almost 2 months *testing* this feature and they still failed.
It's so easy to by-pass, anyone can use it and change their photo. Of all of the options they had, they decide to punish everyone and not the few.
Within an hour of the update, it was by-passed and those that had pornographic images are back at it again (Inb4 we don't have profile pictures at all)

Everyone's old profile pic was reset. (Even mine)
The fact that this can be by-passed means it was nothing but a waste of resources, even I could do it and get my old profile picture back.

dont see how it should be naming and shaming as that person invited people to check his work around on his reddit post on hot to bypass. I really want profile pictures disabled again BTW.

Sure hope this makes NCsoft realize it's better to spend their efforts implementing report tools and actually putting them to goo use instead of trying to limit everyone only to have it bypassed anyway. Taking measures this wrongly is just a waste of time and resources all around.

How about telling them to just sit down and stop touching things? The game was GREAT before NC got their incompetent paws on it. It's like they have the reverse Midas touch, everything they lay hands on goes to hell.

They probably focus on the latest patches more, and they throw us a bone now and then. Which is why I tell everyone to be patient and wait till we reach the other regions, maybe, just maybe things will get better...
