Decoy into lightning stride

For some reason, sometimes when I try to pop lightning stride with 2-RMB a heartstab will come out instead. I don't understand why. If some of you know why or encounter the same problem, it would be nice to know.

It's happened to me before. My guess is probably lag involved or the typical bad B&S optimization.
