If someone has a bad picture, just like when they talk about illegal topics, make it a remove or ban... simple.

The problem is that this method is pointless, people have already figured out how to get around it, and knowing how encoding and file systems work, it isn't going to be hard... and everyone's time/patience will have been wasted.

It may be a non-issue to you, but apparently not everyone feels the same way you do. Yes, there are other larger issues that need to be addressed in the game but that doesn't make issues like this one a "non-issue".

Other regions are still able to use custom pictures/gifs afaik but that's because it wasn't abused as of over here with porn gifs/pics, and other obscene things.

Yeaaah i'm happy with the change made it's sad i wont get to see some of the gorgeous art of peoples characters which could still be posted in forums and signatures. But i'm more relieved to not have to look at pictures of wangers and gore and generally all around offensive themes...the world is sad enough without it coming into a game.  So i would rather lose the pretty art that i can view online rather than view 1 innappropriate photo.

This ^ because NCsoft is showing laziness is handling reports one by one regarding profile pictures.

obviously there will allways be moaners whinners and complainers...

you can just upload your arts to your roleplay profiles on rp enjin forums, which are active again, cuz theres many issues solved (or badnaided, but game getting way better) and ppl rp again, im happy for this

Nobody would be foolish enough to advertise it on the forums, but if i were to find out what it is, i'd wait until lots of people know it then explain to ncsoft why it's pointless.

Lmfao, I mean once someone publicly shares the workaround, it's going to spread like a wildfire. This bandaid solution is only to MOTIVATE them more into finding said workaround. A report button, as many people have already begged, would of been the best neutral option, but no, NCSoft, you don't want to handle reports one by one. Thus damaging the mental state of your community by being a (edited).

Ok, I'm having some issues regarding to uploading photos. I went yahoo image of the photo I wanted, save as the photo to BnS folder, went to my game and tried to upload it and i get this message: failed to upload photo due to unsupported media type.

 

Any else having the same problem?

Can't do that anymore. You need to actually have PHOTOS made by the client.

Meaning you save your characters appearance in game and use that photo.

 

Unless you know how to edit images properly and get around/bypass that... then you can upload anything.

Read this thread. I really dont think there is a workaround yet. Some people still have their custom pics from before since they never got taken down.

Not using that image because obvious reasons, but seriously, you solved nothing.  Anyone who cares enough to troll people will find ways to get around it.

Why not use it as long as it's not inappropriate? If they really start handing out bans to people now instead of banning the few who actually put up pornography or graphic content up before, that is the most ridiculous thing that NCWest could do...

Because it's an exploit and i'd rather not get mixed up in it... when too many people to ban are doing it, i'll join the protest.  I'm not daring enough lol.

NCsoft instead wasting time with this, why don't you find solutions for bots/cheaters? if i was ncsoft that would be in my list as top Priority not this custom pics thing....
