NC... really? REALLY!?

 

Bots: Everywhere.

Hackers: Rampant.

Balance: Complete shit.

Release Schedule: Insane.

Ability to add costumes to wardrobe before releasing them: Non-existent.

 

But you got rid of the single coolest piece of customization in the game, so you have that going for you.

 

GOOD JOB.

(Not really. Terrible job. You're doing a terrible job. Please stop doing things.)

on the contrary, i, and many people are happy for this change, finally i have removed old ugly photo which i hated, sent about 5 tickets about removing that one... god bless finally its gone

and

Bots: alot, but less of them (i dont pvp tho, cant talk about that)

Hackers: almost all died out on ssp (i dont pvp as above)

Balance: (again same as above)

Release schedule: can live with that

Ability to add costumes to wardrobe before releasing them: oh well, can live with that

 

Not a good job, but considering that dev possibilities of western department are limited, if any, its ok. Game got way way better with removing ssp hackers and botters, and its visible.

EDIT: pro tip, avoid pvp to be happy? =)

I don't understand how anyone can be upset about this.  It was clearly absolutely necessary.

 

People had Nazi art in their profiles.  In Germany, this could be considered illegal.  

 

People had gifs of real life ISIS decapitations.

 

Not to mention graphic pornography.

 

While none of these things ruin my play experience, I'm legitimately baffled that there are people that believe NCSoft should be okay with hosting such images and allowing minors to view them.

never seen any pornography or nazi pictures, inspecting tons of people... but finally it works, and last thing i care about, is that i cant put there any picture i want...

I'm actually profusely angry about this. Here's why. I had a player on my server draw my Forcemaster so I could use the picture on my profile picture with the added bonus of having her name on there for others to commission drawings. Its something small, but awesome for a server community and NC just took that away. Here is the drawing by the way. Now what do I do with it? Thanks NC West. >:l

Should blame the community for abusing the feature rather than blaming NCwest.

Other regions are still able to use custom pictures/gifs afaik but that's because it wasn't abused as of over here with porn gifs/pics, and other obscene things.

Please, not again with that minor excuses, I certainly sure that minors nowadays aren't that "minor" at all, I believe they've had seen more offensive contents. How many of us actually waited for 18 y.o. to access something that is meant for 18+? lol

 

And now, in order to forbid the small player base that put on those so-called "offensive" profile, they ended up restricted us, the majority of the player base the choice to customize? 

 

If those profile picture is that overly sensitive to you somehow, or breaching the rules, simply file a report and have the player on subject to face the consequences accordingly if reasonable.

 

 

But no, locking the entire access away from the ethical players is their way to resolve such issue.

Why are we facing the consequence altogether when we did nothing 'wrong' in NCSoft perception?

There're plenty of summoners & destroyers bot too, I don't see them deleting the classes?

It's the same reason why we won't be getting in game voice chat. People don't know how to behave here. It's happened on a lot of other games as well. Idiots make it so we can't have nice things. Maybe down the road they will change it, but with the forums filled with people complaining about every little thing, na streams complaining about things, people blasting ncsoft on their stream, I don't see this changing anytime soon.

It's how NCsoft tends to handle issues involving abuse of features and gameplay elements. It's bad enough that they do this, but it's even more disheartening to see some players following that reasoning too. At this rate, it will only encourage NCsoft to do even more dumb shit like this.

I'm also happy with this change. I can finally get a picture up! :)

 

In the future, I hope they can implement a server or w/e where pictures are uploaded to before they can become a profile picture. That way the players can upload their artwork AND we can avoid seeing offensive material. The downside is the amount of work-hours the staff will have to pull to make this work.

I personally don't like this change as I had a commissioned art piece for my profile picture, but I do understand that this was the most efficient way to address the issue. I was hoping they would have chosen a solution that doesn't punish everyone though.....

Some of the posts I'm seeing here are really disappointing.

 

NC takes away an amazingly cool bit of customization and replaces it with utter bullshit, but you're just happy you can delete that picture you didn't like now? Talk about getting a foot in the door...

 

Or worse yet, "It can be abused so no one should have it." So can the chat box, should we take that away too? We could make B&S a "SAFE SPACE"!

 

I cannot fathom how NC thinks this is an acceptable response, though it's certainly not surprising as "Just delete it." has always been their go-to.
