Evasion or AP Diamond?

I keep getting Evasion 400 diamonds on my crafter, so I was wondering if I decide to run a Sin in a Lightening build, can he use it instead of the AP one and actually benefit from it?

Less AP = Lower dmg = Less healed HP with your attacks.

Evasion maybe wouldn't be bad idea, if it could protect from red attacks.
