Does cat taunt work in pvp?

So does the cat taunt from Croaching Tiger work against players in the arena?

I highly doubt as the taunt is like stealing aggro and in pvp players aren't that stupid as mobs to think that they need to aim for the cat. o.o Correct if i am wrong.

Aggro is something that would only affect the AI of enemies, so it would make no sense for it to work on actual players. Could be good if opponent was stupid enough to attack the cat and makes it recover health instead, but that would only work against those ignorant of cat taunt mechanics, which they probably won't be once they read this. :p

In other game I played, Taunt in PvP provided 30% DR if the player other than the one who taunted was attacked. Wish that Cat's taunt reduced dmg on the Summoner. Oh, well. I usually just move points into Power Pounce.

You need crouching tiger in PVP so that other people won't go after the cat and kill it. If you don't have it spec'd then your opponent can kill it easily. (But you don't spec into aggro, only 2 points in)
