Certain settings I can turn on and off?

I really enjoy the way the game looks but every time I put the settings up I start having frame rate issues and especially in dungeons, are there certain options I can turn on that wont effect the frame rate issue much and make the game look decent? And certain options that I can turn off that could also help with the frame lag.
