Can only afford to upgrade one job -- WL or FM?

Hi all,

I'm at the point where I only have enough money to fund one class as a main -- I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on whether or not I should choose WL or FM?  Since both have a similar playstyle, I like them about equally.  My FM does a bit more damage, but my WL provides soul burn and aids the party in that way.  For group content, would you rather see a warlock in your party or a force master (assuming you could only choose one and not the other).  In other words, would the benefit of being a WL and providing soul burn outweigh the higher dps of FM and the ice shield for group play?  Thanks for any input!

Warlock. i do fastest runs with them.

FM. For me I found FM to be easier in terms of doing dailies and also we have good dps. WL is more about bust dps and after that 10 to 20sec your dps will suffer a lot. Not really great when doing dailies. Also for doing PvP dailies I never had any issue with my FM where on my WL I have ppl try to kill me. Although I do agree WL is more flashy.

FM. You actually support the party quite a bit.
