Frost sheath use

Ok, so I mainly play force master but I can't figure out how to use Frost Sheath properly.  I try to use it to protect my party during yeti, but when I press V, nothing happens.   The skill goes on cooldown, the snowflake icon goes over everyone's head, but nothing happens.  People die.  What am I doing wrong?

maybe other fm used it before u? if it on cd it will be on cd with all fm's in party.

Seems like you've been doing it too early. The ice icon goes away after like 5? Seconds. On kfm you only have the icon for up to 3 secs before you get hit by a skill to ice yourself.

Also if other people resisted with another skill and your ice icon pops over em it will only trigger after they resisted with their own skills.

 

Kichi also tells you the crucial point why bad fms can make the party wipe instead of helping them cause if 1 fm triggers the skill brainlessly the other fm will have this tool on cd

For the crux? I think you use it for the last 3 crux slams, iframe or tab freeze yourself the ones before.

ei) 8 crux - freeze yourself first 5 and release then sheath everyone for last 3

7 crux - freeze yourself first 4 and release then sheath everyone for last 3 etc

 

so far worked for me, but if another fm pops it before the last 3 - RIP

That's the important part here. If that happens, the skills itself wasn't on cd so you used it. If it doesn't work, you used it either in a bad time (if you use it 1s before all get frozen because your party failed to stun the Yeti for example, it won't help you because you can't prevent the onehit aoe) or no one got hit within the next 3s. Make sure to use it right before something will hit your Party or it won't work.
