Yuiorha
I've been levelling for a couple days now, where I've reached the moonwater area. I'm currently level 44, but I still have the level 36 weapon, as well as accessories. I understand that the only way you can get MTS now is by buying em or crafting them, but as someone who is levelling I'm not particularly rich, with MTS costing around 4 gold each on the marketplace, as well as evolving costs, it was quite obvious to me that I'd needed to craft. So I started crafting with Soul Wardens, Merry Potters and Tree Fellers, but already am clueless as to where to obtain some of the materials, like soulstones. I also did some research and figured out that you need to farm the Brightstone dungeon's final boss to get the premium tempered clay refiner recipe, which I hear people bidding over 30g per recipe. I do do a lot of dailies, and run a lot of dungeons but the amount of gold needed is insane, and I just can't seem to wrap my head about it. I also counted the amount of MTS needed in total for all evolution and it totalled up to 60, which was also worrying. Any tips/idea on how to obtain MTS? I'd appreciate anything people say, thanks. :)
Shuchin
To be honest it is much easier to earn gold and then buy the transformation stones when and how much you need them, than to craft them in batches of 10 and then having to sell the rest (or keep them for later, but that means even more investment upfront). It is a bit of an illusion if people think crafting is a way to substitute time investment for money, as all ingredients are easily converted to gold on the free market. So personally I would recommend to simply farm gold and crafting materials for resell, and then once rich use that for your upgrades. Most flexible and fail proof. But of course it's your choice, you will be able to save maybe 20-30% by crafting all the way through instead of buying. Here is how you get the stuff: - Moonwater Tears: Have become pricey again, so you might want to farm them from the "big 4" - blue lvl 45 dungeons (Ogong, Dokumo, Brightstone and Pigsty) - Soulstones: "PvE": Beach faction and Tomb of Exiles at your level, Misty Woods faction PvP later on. Slow going without Misty Woods but the soulstone costs have been reduced so it's easier now. PvP: Very easy to get soulstones from arena by buying pouches for zen beans. Just be sure to do your arena dailies and you will have a steady income. - Moonwater Quartz: I always buy those, they are not too expensive atm. But there's guides out there how to find good spawn spots. And you have to make your own pickaxes, of course. - Gold: Daily going through Poharan 24 man and Blood Shark Harbour will earn you a good solid basic income. All of this is lvl 45ish and not strictly necessary any more: You can just plunge ahead and follow the campaign story line quests all the way to lvl 50, pick up some ready-to-use gear on the way and then backtrail later for all the more ambitious content. No shame in doing that, it will be much less frustrating than trying to reach True Pirate while still level 45. ;)
Yetan
I was in a similar situation when I was at your level. Like what the poster above said, it is easier to farm gold than leveling up the crafting yourself at your level. The best way to earn gold for me was actually running ToE and 40+ blue dungeons. When popular items drop, you could get a good share of the bidding money. There are some easy dailies you can do that give decent money, but I wouldn't spend time in E-Fleet or Blackram zones now, because without being in a good group, it would take much longer to finish those dailies (or if they can even be finished at all with low gear) than spamming cross-server dungeons. This will take some time to grind before you get a weapon decent enough to start Silverfrost. Silverfrost quests give more money rewards. It helped me to upgrade my weapon from True Inferno to True Profane. Then, it is the time again to figure out how to earn gold and how to upgrade. spongemike
For me My first character I borrow 50g form a friend who play. Got to max level did dailies for 2 weeks and give him back his gold. Honestly though there isn't any easy way to make gold till you are lvl 50 and doing dailies
Yuiorha
Wow, thanks for all the tips guys, I didn't expect nearly as many replies. :) I think I will just farm the gold, but since I'm a fan of PvP I might as well get the soulstones. I found out that you could get Dragon Certificates from Skittering Tunnels, Ogong and Brightstone ruins reward chests but it doesn't seem to be listed in the box in game, any idea why? Majka
With Silverfrost patch NCSoft removed from loot in the 45 blue dungeons. Now you can get them only from 50 purple dungeons. So I suggest you to reach level 50 as soon as possible and maybe find someone who could help with these dungeons, also if in general they aren't so difficult. If you are in Hao District server I'll be glad to help you.
Shuchin
You can still get the small dragon certs from the quest for Junghado floor 7 in Mushin's tower. :)
Yuiorha
@Majka I appreciate your offer but unfortunately I'm in NA, thanks again anyways. :) I'll be sure to take up that advice and get to 50 asap with the advantage of the event. @Shuchin Ah alright, I'll keep this in mind when I get there, thanks for the help. :)
