After Update Characters are gone

I decided to return to play B&S and after the update, my character was gone. Not sure if the update replaced all the old data, but I can't seem to recover them. I know my character is still there, because when I made a new character with the same name, it said it was already taken. So please help me recover my character.

 are you sure you are logged into the right region in the launcher. Europe/north America ?, its just above the 'play' button
