Bruce Chi Posted April 2, 2016 Share Posted April 2, 2016 We all know the engine isn't so great in terms of performance when there's a lot going on, but what about when you're not really doing much with maybe 2 or 3 players around? You'd expect it to be smooth sailing but nope, it's still strangely stuttery and not what I'd expect it to feel like despite having say 100 fps. Well I noticed something strange after enabling Frametime monitoring. In that pic you can see that despite hovering around the 100 fps mark frametimes are spiking all over whilst on the other engine it's running about 35 fps lower but more consistent frametimes. In both examples I was solo with not much going on around. The spikes in BnS get bigger when more is going on; FPS starts to drop and the degree of visible smoothness starts to plummet.
