Why do longer Premium Memberships get fewer Premium Points?

So over the course of a year ...

 

30d Membership x 12months = 9,590 x 12 = 115,080 Premium Points

3mo membership x 4 = 27,990 x 4 = 111,960 Premium Points

1yr membership = 99,990 Premium Points

Just curious if anyone knows why this is?  I'd have guessed that committing to a longer duration membership would get you more of ... well, everything ... when summed up over the same period of time.

Because you pay less in the long run. 30 day sub is 11.99, 90 day sub is roughly 11.66 per month, and the 1 year is roughly 10.41 a month. The less you actually spend, the less points you get.

I signed up for 1 year a couple of days ago and received 0 premium points. im exactly where i was beforehand.

Write to support about it. You should've received them as you received your premium.

It still seems like something is wrong.  If it's 9,590 premium points for a month, shouldn't 1 month cost $9.59,  and 3 months $27.99 for 27,990 points, and 1 year $99.99 for 99,990 points?
