BW no loot =( questions!

I know you gatta do 1% total damage. Never got loot.

 

1. is that 1% group total like poh? Im guessing its not cause i was in a group with a ranged and he got loot while i didnt.

2. when dodging roar will my damage counter reset if i drop combat? cause i run out a little early and when he gets done im able to sprint in.

 

im assuming im not doing enough damage. I did die alot in the beginning though.
