Character Profile Image Upload Temporarily Disabled

there are no boundary what they call "inappropriate image", my profile picture is jpeg, that's not pornography, no showing tits or puss-y (sorry if i use hard words), it's just sexy anime girl from my favorite Anime movie; and today I got 3 days banned cause of my profile image without warning or notice.

After that I open support ticket and said I don't agree with the reason I got banned. Everything they do is just merge and close my ticket without any answer.

I don't think NCSoft's reason of temporarily taking is down is because of the "lewd" pictures being uploaded...

 

I mean this and many more costume exists!

Just to make sure what exactly they consider "lewd", can you tell who the anime char is? I kinda wanted to post a pic of Kiryuin Satsuki in Junketsu outfit, now I'm in doubts... Also, it might be some ppl actually reporting you, so NC just took action according to other ppl point of view...

Its just about control, players jobs are to pay money, grind, and get what they're given.. NCSOFT is powerless to stop the bots and hackers, powerless to stop gold sellers, so they attack what they can, simple gif images that no one see's unless looking at profiles... (Prove me wrong when the hackers, or bots are gone, pvp is a joke, I openly challenge their ability to stop it).

Whats worse, is go to PVP arena, the hackers are STILL DOING IT, custom images and gifs everywhere, they aren't even hiding it, they make fun of everything while players suffer for it.

Don't blame NCSoft for wanting to change the profile system. Blame all the nimrods that decided not to use sensible profile pictures because "lol M-rated game, that means I should be able to stick as many bare boobs and butts and sexually explicit images on my profile pic as I want."

Don't you think it would be pointless to disable non jpg formats if they want to have moderator approve/disapprove them?

This is really s2pid disabling this feature seriously? Facebook has a crowd control for this kind of crap. . . they have billions of subscribers and they were able to monitor this yet NCsoft with just thousands of players they can't find a better way? what kind of s2pidity is this?

Why nerco this thread, they enabled the feature when SF was released.

They never re-enabled it on NA/EU regions when SF was released, or am I missing something?

You are missing something. Profile pictures were re-enabled with the SF patch. You will probably need to take a new profile screenshot though to get it to upload correctly.

 

If you are talking about uploading a "custom" profile picture, that was never a feature of the game in the first place. People have however managed to work around the latest "protection" that NCSoft have added to the profile pictures, which probably means it will be disabled again at some point.

It was. Actually, the "real method" for using a custom profile picture is quite easy. You will know how to upload a custom one if you use your common sense. That "real method" is still working until now and I conclude 'they' recommended it and it's not against the rules. The 'edited or not real' profile picture is against the rules.

You're wrong then as that was the entire reason why they disabled it in the first place. The change they made was supposed to ensure that only pictures taken in game could be used as profile pictures. So how do you get that they condone uploading your own picture from outside the game from that?

You are talking of 'edit or not real'. I'm talking the traditional or widely accepted way of doing it.

I'm confused. I already said that the traditional way of uploading a profile picture using a screenshot taken in game of your actual character works the same as it did before. I changed mine 2 days ago.

I can't change my profile picture ,i'm trying to upload a new one that i just made in game with the game tools and the error says ''incorrect media type''. I can change old profile pictures between,yet any new one i try i'm getting the error.
