How dead is this game already?

QQ moar, this game got the best combat so far seen in in any released mmorpg imho (devil may cry+c9+vindictus+wow=whaaaaat), bots are present in every free 2 play game, even in wow there were tons lulz, and tons of bugs too, still alive ayy. The only thing that should be more casual player friendly is the rng stuff that can take really any will of playing anymore out of the less motivated player. Servers are decently populated considering it's just a dead moment, people are all p on their warlocs, seen plenty of new players signin up because of the patch, but they aint endgame, except the more hardcore ones that rushed 45, just get your dailies done, get some friends to arena with and start crafting your moonwater transformation stones. Just enjoy the game, think this will live a few years at least, if they work good on optimization and de-weabooization this might even get mainstream since it's eSports oriented.

SON, I WILL SLAP YOU. BnS is a lot of things, but it is neither of any of those you mentioned. Like the combat all you want, but it is nothing but a glorified tab targeting game with quick-time events for skills. It doesn't even have true real time action because the game engine is older than any of those games. BnS just looks fresh because of the amount of delays it had. Continent of the 9th has more in common with DmC's crazy hack and slash action than BnS. If you want real combat, there's PSO2, Monster Hunter Online and Dragon's Dogma Online, which are sadly, IP locked to Japan only.

Also do not compare any MMO to WoW. It is *cricket*ing Blizzard. That's like comparing Crossfire or any Korean FPS MMO to the likes of Halo, Battlefield or Call of Duty. They will never compare to multi-billion dollar franchises who can churn out content for years.

I'd like to try those games, but THEY ARE IP LOCKED as you said, this is the goddcricketindamn closest "up to date" game to them. Even tho the gamestyle is retard friendly.

  • 6 months later...

To be fair a good portion of the players that are leaving are doing so because the game actually makes them work.

In your first week of playing you can't obtain max lvl gear for free.

Some ppl prefer everything handed to them and have left for this reason...

The real question is out of the players leaving are they really players we want to stay?

I think most player leaving beacuse:

- atm BnS lacks real endgame (Grinding with stupid RNG is not fun and also not endgame its just an excuse to hold players in the game busy, also raids are not here atm, PvP is unpopular but had the potential to excite players)

- Players can not see progress (after the point that you have scorpio and the max accessoires (w/o legy) all things get expensive and if you are not a lucky guy you can grind your ass off for a month and still not see any progress -> this demotivates ppl)

- Many have Ping/Crash/Framedrop issues

- They do not like unfairness that comes with the rng (at too many places) in the Game  (and this has nothing to do with "they want all things handed to them" because even if they are willing to "work" ergo grind they could have bad luck and get nothing and then they see ppl that do less but have more luck -> this might be some envy-problem but i think it is only human - rng should be used to make things more exciting not to generate (huge) gaps or is only used as gold-sink).

And if you want them in the game or not is your decision - but in general every (non toxic) player is good - because more players make a game more popular which generally increases its lifetime.
