Kazutoo Posted March 8, 2016 Share Posted March 8, 2016 Hey all I don't seem to pass F7 of mushins tower. It all goes well until he does that attack where he throws you in the air and a series of combos. I know this can be resisted using those 6 sec dmg resist pots. although he does it again before the cooldown expires. Using Maelstrom for the second attack is not an option cause it's only resist for 2 sec. Any tips on how to do this, what skills/items/combos I need to have that would help me avoid that air throw. Shinsetsu Posted March 8, 2016 Share Posted March 8, 2016 You might try this: I'm using a similar build to this (made some minor changes to suit my play style and damage). I'm not sure why you think Maelstrom is not long enough. Perhaps you are using it too early. I don't use Maelstrom anymore because my damage is now good enough that V is enough, but when I did, I had no problems using Maelstrom to resist the attack. If you are going to, skip to the ending, where he arrives at Fl 7. I think his skill point assignment is presented at the end of the video too. Spyroxion Posted March 9, 2016 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Ok first of all change your Z skill - get the first row all the way to the bottom (insta 10% hp recovery + for 6 seconds you resist 5 attacks which means you just stand still and watch how he does nothing to you). Lets say this skill is on CD and he uses again so what you do you TAB spin (you spec it for parry, 2nd row 3 points so you could also TAB spin out of freeze if you get into it) first hit he lands, thogh you have to time it right (0.5sec after pressing TAB of parry) then Q - wait like a second or a bit less) - and E. Done. Now next thing - you don't need 3 points to TAB escape, 1 is enough. Set V for pull and daze so you can aircombo him. Choke grab - 2 points right side to regain CHI while you hit. #3 skill while force grabbed - 2 points for heal and daze so you can aircombo him again. It should look like this - F for air combo -> LMB (or RMB if ice is one the ground and about to explode) -> 1 -> f -> 4 before lands on ground for force grab and then in force grab this combo 2 -> f -> RMB -> spam LMB -> when time is about to end 3 for heal and daze -> repeat air combo without force grab since it's on CD. Use V to pull and air combo, use five point strike to air combo. Now burst part: as soon as he drops on ground after air combos and is still knocked down (short window) - lightning draw -> RMB (2 points on draw stance RMB for stun) -> LMB combo with F (ani-canceling) ->as soon as stun about to end (last second) ->2 for stun (2points right side) and continue burst. if you still have chi points and can LMB F keep doing that while dodging skills with Q and E. When you end burst in draw stance something from you air combos will be off cooldown so air combo him as much as you can until draw stance. And repeat everything. Just would recommend upgrading your crit since burst part depends on your crit hits (spec LMB of draw stance to right side so it would crit when enemy is stunned, a bit slower than left side but more DMG and if you ani-cancel good you'll be fine) and if also recommend on upgrading your weapon for more AP (or get AP gem, at least 15 AP one, it isn't expensive, at least at EU server). I think that's about it, res is all up to you - learn his attacks, get good timings and practice. It's fine if you have great damage, but its not good for those just starting out because they will probably hit enrage using so many air combos.
