3 Demon/Spectral Orbs logic

The number 3 makes no logical sense.

You always get 3 Orbs. You always only can get 3 Orbs. You always only use 3 Orbs. So any number doesnt make any sense at all. You could say 5 Orbs, 17 Orbs, 56545848166 Orbs or just Spectral Orb, to make it easier to read and understand.

It almost looks like the "Orb-System" was actually a system back in development, and then got abandoned for whatever reasons. My guess is that it was some kind of rogue combo point system with 3 orbs max and some skills use 1-3 Orbs for more dmg/cc/whatever. In that case it would make sense to put a number into the tooltip. Like it is now, it doesnt.

Then shalt thou stack orbs to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt stack, and the number of the stacking shall be three. Four shalt thou not stack, neither stack thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out.

Not all skills give 3 orbs, Rupture only gives 1. 3 is the number they use to balance that

Yup.

RMB procs, F procs, they only give one.  And if you use 2 or 1, you only get 2 or 1 second cooldown reduction, ect ect.

There's a Thrall ability that generates 1 Spectral Orb, too.

EDIT: Actually, Nether Pulse generates 3 Orbs so scratch that.

This orbs are usless if you use dragoncall, and must have only with dragon helix.

Want free choice of skills - play KFM.

You are actually wrong. Dragon Call lowers its CD for each spectral orb hit. You get 3 Spectral Orbs from a Wingstorm and 1 Spectral Orb from a Rupture. Overall 1 Rupture and 1 Wingstorm (9 Spectral Orbs Total) can potentially lower Dragon Call from 18 seconds to 8 seconds.

3 orbs reduce Cd of dragon call ONCE.

Once in 36(33) sec, they are useless for next 33 sec.

Well main point of this topic should be how useless orb system is for dragon call compared to helix build.

Coz with helix it actually makes some sense. You need 3 to cast it and with skill book crit will return 2 so one rapture proc is equal to extra helix cast.

While for dragon call they have one time effect only and not really impresive one.

Not sure if they effect any other skill but i think they do not.

So yeah its rather flawed system.

It depends on your stats, with the skillbook dragoncall does twice the amount of damage as helix and can be casted instantly again and again if it crits. You also gain +25% crit chance for 5 seconds when dragoncall hits.

I don't like being limited to 3 orbs though :P

Yeah but main point of this thread was question about orb mechaics and actually for that version of dragon call orbs are even more useless coz your first one will consume orbs and 2nd one which is instant will go on full cd so ....

Also not sure its 25% seem lower to me in actual game probably another translation error or something.
