Level3.net Internet Backbone may be cause of disconnect issues.

Depending on your location and the route hops take to communicate with the game server, you may be disconnected because the ping "times out" while trying to pass through Level3.net which is one of the backbones of the internet.  Your ISP may also be having troubles.

Try running "tracert gameserverIP" (without the quotes; where "gameserverIP" is the ip address to the game server your character is located) from the command prompt.  Try runing "tracert Level3.net" (without the quotes) and you'll see what I mean if you are in an affected area.

For me, the route always "times out" while attempting to pass through Level3.net which tells me that the disconnect has nothing to do with the Blade & Soul client, server, or anti-cheat software.  FYI, I am using Charter internet (60mbit cable) and I am located in the Midwest of the United States.

If this is also happening to you, it means that until Level3.net and your ISP sort out their problems, there is nothing you or the developers can do to resolve the disconnect issues.  It is not the developers fault.

It means that the route communication takes from your computer through your modem and through your ISP's network to reach Level3.net times out.  Is unable to pass through and continue on to your destination.  Try running tracert to the your server's IP (You'll have to find out that IP on your own.).

If the same thing happens, it means that the route communication takes from your computer through your modem and through your ISP's network to reach the game server is held up at Level3.net (one of the internet backbones).

It means that until Level3.net and your ISP sorts out their problems, nothing you or the developers can do will resolve the disconnect issues.  This is not the developer's fault.

I'm having this issue. Is there really no way to resolve this? I can't believe I will be disconnecting every 10-20minutes and will probably have to quit the game if this is a permanent thing with no fix......

Please don't write half-truth things as whole truth. PING is not a 100% diagnostic tool to check if a connection is working or not. If the ICMP packages (such as ping) are forbidden on a router, you will get timeout or destination unreachable echo message. Some ISP prohibit icmp package answers on their devices to lower the load on them (for eg: many DNS servers are like this). I'm not stating that Level3 does not have any issues, but it is very unlikely, that so many ISPs connected to Level3 has the same problem only since last update... (i'm having disconnect issues and fps issues since last update, so the network problem is the lease unlikely issue...)

And by having the same problem, i also checked, i'm not having Level3 in my route to the game servers... :)
