High toxicity

Every game with an anime-like setting is plagued by very high toxicity, due the fact that it caters to a certain audience.
I've played mmos with fantastic communities (LotRO, TSW), but anime-themed ones... always terrible.

I think it's failure in stress management. If anyone hate the current state of the game that much, they should just leave instead of wasting time on the forum. Watching porn and smoking marijuana are still more mentally productive and healthy than professing their hate on forum.

In B&S it's not so bad. I played a game where players would drag your personal life into the fight. Of course only if you shared info with others. Gossips spread pretty fast, even in MMOs. xD It was nasty. That was a very toxic community. I'm glad I quit the game long ago.

LMAO.  The tone for any forum is set by the actions / inactions of the CM's and mods.  And, sorry to say, the toxic tone for these forums was pretty much set back during the Alpha and has not deviated from that.  So many so-called veterans insisting that the forums set up for play-testers' feedback should be shouted down, because the game did not, in their inflated opinions, need to vary one wit from the other markets' implementations.  Totally counter to what Alphas and Betas are meant for.  NC West, for their part, did nothing to dissuade the misguided assumptions of these "white knights".

 

And so the toxicity has been rampant ever since.  More is the pity because NC has since proven that really do not care one bit about what their customers say, pro or con, other than to give shallow platitudes and false assurances that "We're looking into it."

 

What I am hearing in this current lament about "toxicity" is less a call for healthy debate and more for shutting up people whose opinions, constructive or not, you disagree with. If I am wrong in that, then please make it plain for all to see and demonstrate your willingness to rationally discuss these topics even with those you oppose.

I come here each day to read all the silly hater/Toxic Threads in this forum and it delights me to see that even I have more fun playing this game than those people who pretty much rip each other in the air. Just sit back, drink a cup of tea and enjoy the shooow. :D

i probably wont be so toxic if scummoners didnt exist. or if blade cancers died of aids. or maybe if we were given the 50 patch, so i could actually enjoy grinding towards a goal to get my essential skills and fck these bad mannered assholes in pvp. why can they do that? cause pvp is fcking broke.

I'm afraid it's the new generation of humans. If you are not a toxic human being, trust me, there is no chance in hell a gaming community or a game itself make  you one. The problem is the people. Europe promotes hatred for the different, racism and fascism. What did you expect from it's kids? Flowers and love?
