How the HELL do summoners respawn their cat whilst resisting all damage

Okay I'll probably be called a noob for this question but I don't really care.

 

I just played against a summoner, whose cat I killed 2 times in a round. All that *cricket*er has to do is just sit down, respawn it, while he is resisting all my damage. What the *cricket* am I doing wrong?

are you ranged ( FM )? was he siting in floating red flowers leaves AOE?

True Friend only works if you have your summon up alive and not CC'd, so no, it's not X.

 

Most likely he's using ranged attacks and attacking him when he's inside Petal Storm.

Depends on what class you are.

 

We can use our Petal Storm to block your ranged dmg or we can use our True Friend, which gives us an immune shield for 3 seconds, which is more than enough time to get the cat back up, which I do believe is 3 seconds as well.

What, uh, awesomefart said. If you're ranged (and I assume not summoner, so FM), do phantom grip/daze dragonchar/heatwave knockdown/impact/ice coil(damage, chill)

I don't think you can use True Friend while cat is dead.

Cool, great tips, thanks! I'm FM yeah and I was just so frustrated that I couldn't hit him while he was comfortably ressurecting his cat. But I know what to do now, thanks!

Yep, petal storm (resists all projectile attacks, gets 10% life back  and heals 2% per hit, can deflect all stuns)

Lasts 10 seconds, cat resummon takes 5 seconds

If you are a Summoner use your cat (if available) to interrupt.

If no cat use Sunflower. Yes I hate sunflower because its useless as shit. Or Thorn Strike or the roots whatever helps ^^.

If you're FM use either phantom grip or Ring of fire/Ice coil, impact, meteor shower, Dragon Whorl, Dragon Char (Daze).
