At what stages of weapon does socket addition costs go up?

Hi, I'm looking to add sockets to my weapon, it's currently stage 5 true infernal. it currently will cost 3 gem hammers and 5 silver. If I breakthrough to the next stage, will the socket addition cost go up?

I wonder the same if I'll get a 4th slot at some point or will I need hammer it regardless?

Well, I went ahead and broke through, cost is still same now that it is stage 10 true infernal. i guess cost only goes up if you evolve it?

you will need hammers for 4th, not sure how many for when though, i got my 4th with 3 hammers at infernal stage, I read if you do the level 5 Hongmoon weapon it costs 1 hammer

The sooner you do it the better, the price in hammers and gold goes up as you evolve it. If you plan on ever adding a socket, save up and do it as early as you possibly can.

at awakened profane its 4 gem hammers. eventually (maybe at awakened siren) it will be 5 gem hammers.

Pre-blight it is 1 gem hammer but note that it has 2 expandable slots. Im not sure if it carries over since upgrading it later on will unlock 1 slot for free. But the weapon after that, the first one with 3 gem slots and 1 locked slot, cost only 1 gem hammer.

I'm also wondering, will do it earlier on my next toons if it does tranfer, 5gems and 2.5gold atm. I already have x3 45 without the upgrate. I would like to know before I start a warlock.

Why are gem hammers going up? They were 2g and some silver a week ago, but now they doubled in price.

 

I think you get the 4th slot on pirate, but I'm stuck at true profane stage 10 because no monehz.

Have you confirmed that 4th slot free on pirate weapon yet??

Best moment to unlock the 4th slot is after the upgrade from blackram narrows (second break).

This break unlocks the 3rd slot by itself and the 4th costs only 1 hammer.

Could have saved a hammer if I'd known this. I thought the cost went up to 2 hammers at that point. Oh well, it's just 4g :)
