Flying Sparrow problem

I've noticed that as a blade master I seem to have some problems when it comes to getting my opener. Sometimes it works great, othertimes i get outplayed, other times the person I flying sparrow to starts running and as I land behind them, they float across the ground while in the stun animation a few steps away from my character and get out of the stun before i can get to him. I mean, is it just a ping issue that I can't do anything about? My ping tends to be around 100-130 if I remember right, is that still just too high?
