Inflation and the impact on crafting.

Right now it is better to grind mobs, dungeons and dailies for gold then it is to craft. The cost has sky rocketed since launch and I for one am very concerned just how fast it rose. I understand players are making more money quicker, which makes sense, but the gold selling and spamming seems to be taking a tole as well.

If people buy gold from illegal sources, it of course inflates the economy of whatever server the gold goes to.  Bans of buyers as well of sellers can help a bit.  Simply refusing to buy gold helps too.

 

The game has some gold sinks and if dungeons were the only source of money, inflation would be slower-- would still happen, but it would be slower.

Crafting is a joke in this game, most of the time it's a loss of gold to craft items.

 

It's only profitable to sell mats and some basic crafted items like the refiners (not the premium ones) and this, imho, is an issue. Professions should MAKE money, not break even or lose. Of course an initial loss of money is always there but that should not be the long term case.
