gonna tell you to either learn to pvp in game, and not be such a loser, irl, bruh.

"WAAAAAA someone forced me to pvp during my pvp quests!<!>!?"

"here, here, small child. allow me to coddle you with my soft hands and flabby arms. those big bad pvpers are nothing so long as we hug and believe otherwise. here, ill post this picture to try and divert pvpers from a pvp game into thinking they are the wrong ones."

"omg youre so brave and loving!"

"yes, now allow me to caress your lips with mine and prance our fingers around each others backsides."

Getting awfully detailed there; sounds like somebody is looking for a substitute for a missing daddy.  But I ain't that man, so I out.

off to coddle other cry babies I see.

If that's what it takes for you to feel a little bit better about yourself, then think what you want.

Let it never be said that I've never done anything for the peoples.

One of the main reasons I chose this game over Black Desert ...SO FAR  ...is because it was ALLEGEDLY solo friendly and offered a "truly free" experience. *massive eye roll* I have already spent $50, which I can afford as an adult player, but which is also beside the point. We (mature players) are their main source of money, but they make the game unfriendly to us by REQUIRING PVP. Not everyone is some weirdo "leet" WoW reject.

Now today I was was just logging on to the game and someone slashed my level 16 character down to almost 0 hp, and I wasn't wearing faction gear, and I was NOT in a PVP area. I am an experienced player and as a solo player I most certainly CAN PvP, I just don't get my kicks out of killing other players or being "forced" to do or spend ANYTHING. I can see this game in my rearview in the very near future unless changes are made. Agree 100% with the original poster.

We're not all adolescent boys out to resolve parental or sibling angst or measure our ...equipment against that of peers.

As always, flame and troll if you must, but I do not respond.

This honestly surprises me if it's true. I wouldn't mind seeing a screenshot of your combat log sometime to see how that happened. Unless there is some new hack or so that allows them to attack anyone, I don't get how you were attacked by another player.

To address your other points, I know you said you wouldn't respond but I'd at least like to think that some dialogue is capable, how is pvp exactly required? The majority of my soul stones actually comes from me buying them rather than pvp'ing for them or doing the dailies. Yeah, I get the usual 20 per day but on my 2 characters, I craft and use the money to buy them and trade moonwater stones for them. I like to pvp but I find it faster to pve for them through crafting and getting dungeon drops as the amount I get per day is limited unless I want to arena. The bots aren't really that fun, nor challenging to fight against so I'm not to keen on that. I'm sure I could probably climb to plat though with as many bots as there are.

That being said, there are ways to pve for the soulstones in there through crafting and general money making. To me, and I don't mean to be insulting, so please forgive me if this comes off as rude, but it sounds like the OP is simply throwing a tantrum in the fact that he can't peacefully pve his way to victory and have all, if not more soulstones handed to him without having to put in any risk. That's really what, in my opinion, most of it seems to be about. People don't want to pvp because they don't want the risk involved. With pve, it's an AI so you learn the pattern and you 're good. That boss isn't going to do anything different. You beat a person though and they are liable to change their build and come at you unpredictably which constitutes an element of risk involved. It doesn't guarantee that you can retain that gold rank and keep earning soul stones. PvE ensures that there is little to no risk as most classes at 45 can easily clear the dungeons if they know what they're doing. Even if it's their first run, it's easily handled by your teammates who know the fight and can carry you through it. In 1 v 1 you have, well mostly, only yourself to blame for the most part.

I myself used to be a PvE'er back in my days of EQ and FFXI. PvE doesn't really do it for me as it is too predictable. You do the boss fight one time, you know it. There are no  more surprises. Run into the same person twice in arena and you may have an honest surprise on your hand as they've changed their build radically and their play style. To me it's exhilarating and I for one, am glad that they use the soulstones as a way to encourage players to play it. Just my 2 cents though, thanks for reading.

In all the games I played I always disliked pvp so I dont do it. I am more of a mediocre endgame player who loves endgame PVE and dislikes PVP. But I was forced to PVP in BnS and surprisingly I am enjoying every win and lose I experienced. Try the PVP once you hit 45 it might make you love it especially the team tag with friends. What I really feel lacking with this game (aside from banning hackers, bots, and spammers) is VOIP. It would be nice to communicate with your random tag teammate via voice for interference. Nevertheless, give BnS' PvP a chance - try it.

Hi Kinohki ^^   I am quite certain you're correct and that it was indeed a hack or just a "lucky shot" as I was in the process of logging on. I did not at all intend to imply that this was some new aspect of the game or that it was something that was routinely happening. The mistake was mine in not making that portion of my comment more clear. My apologies.

I added more to the post then deleted it as irrelevant. I do wish people would be a bit more understanding of the fact that not everyone enjoys leaning on others in parties or the responsibility for others that comes with it. Many of us have careers, such as mine in healthcare, which require a great deal of teamwork and responsibility for others, and solo gaming is a welcome relief from that. As for my particular arms...no flab. ~.^ I know you didn't say anything about that, just thought that whole line of "discussion" was amusing if a little off course. Thanks for your comments, which I didn't find at all inflammatory. Happy gaming!

I usually dislike going to do faction dailies on my own, I feel like I'm constantly watching and taking way longer than I should to get it done just because I don't want to be hunted. My solution was getting a guild or a couple friends to run with me, people are usually hesitant to fight if there are multiple enemies and I feel a bit more confident knowing that someone has my back.

I do like both pvp and pve.I hate open world pvp thu.Zerg mad fest and 0 balance where destro can literally kill you before you can blink.Or some weirdo 2 shot you hiding in the bushes.I love arena.Fair experience.

I do Love PVE too.I enjoy spend time with my friends doing this or that dungeon while laughing and making jokes in TS.

We do few runs BSH 4(In weekends more but in weekedays 2-3).Today we got BM book.Yestarday we got Destro and KFM.Few days before that we got Summoner book and BD.We do POH 4 runs here and there(perfumes sell so gud).

I get about 44/46 SS everyday(or almost everyday) and some gold from 24 dungeons plus poh/bsh(poh not everday thu).In 24 dungeons I hardly do poh herself or grandpa.Just waste of time spending 30-40 min trying to spawn npc for 50 silver quest. My opinion thu.

Today from some pvp, daillies and bsh 4 I made about 140 gold.Do you know how many soulstones 140 gold are worth? How many hours in arena you have to spend for this amount of gold?  PVP 1h sometimes 2h is cool and nice, everything pass that feel like second job.I'm not playing games to feel like I'm on work even at weekends.I play for fun and I have plenty of it without being forced(noone force you to do anything)to do anything.14 soulstones are....4gold? Rush twice Poh 4 with friend and you can make more lol.

It doesn't matter who has your back when every channel is flooded with Crimson zergs (if you're blue). If you're Crimson, then why do you care? The Blues have enough problems trying to get their dailies done. They don't have time to troll you.

This game has been out for years in other countries, and has always revolved around PvP. The game isn't going to change at its core simply because they're localizing it for NA/EU. I don't get why people continue to make threads like these because they didn't know what they were signing up for.

Having PvP in your game does not make your game a PvP focused game. In fact the majority of the content is clearly PvE oriented. Forcing people to PvP so that they can engage in PvE still doesn't make your game a PvP game, it just makes you a shitty game developer who doesn't know how your players interact with your game. Making a PvP focused game instead of a PvE focused game is what makes your game a PvP game. League of Legends is a PvP game. Starcraft 2 is a PvP game. Super Smash Brothers Melee is a PvP game. Call of Battlefield are PvP games.

I've been wanting my obviously HM pve skill locked away in the Arena.  After luckily getting the 'win 20 matches for 3k beans' quest, I decided to bite the bullet and go for it.  All I can say is that I now have the skill and hope I never have to go back to Arena again... I hated it and greatly resent the fact I had to take part to improve my pve.

I am a Lore *cricket*. Always play a game based on three things.

Content

Combat

Story.

The whole Faction war is a massive part of the story from the time you leave Bamboo Village where you meet both leaders of each alliance. The Eight Masters are half and half when it comes to the Faction Wars. It's all part of the story.

For me, when it comes to a game I enjoy Pve/PvP 50/50. The open world faction war is a brilliant idea and you do have a choice to fight or to stay neutral. I don't mind going around at level 4 with my faction outfit. It prepares me for end game content since the AI will be a bit more challenging so learning my rotations is perfect. Soul stones can be farmed in some Pve content like Tomb of Exiles but the main part of the post is this.

Story - Faction alliance. Both factions are fighting over Soulstones. If you don't like it then why play? It's pretty much half the story. The only place that isn't is the Soulstone mine which has been over-mined thanks to the Talus and Jinsoyun.

Morale of the post? I have seen too many games go to shit because the majority of Pve'ers want an easy game to play and refuse to fight for anything. If you want to fight against an AI all the time then buy a console.

I just wish they took off the silly restrictions on the OW PvP in the SSP, where your participation counts for nothing because you are undergeared.

I wish they would consider bolstering stats to a minimal level with the Faction Outfit, so everyone gets the chance to get the drops if they participate.

SSP battle is actually one of the funnest things I have done in the game, but no rewards is sad. I keep feeling tremendously envious as I crawl around killing the sentinels and picking bodies and meteorites that everyone is having all the fun.

Exactly that. Maining a Blade Master I had to wait till I had over 400AP before I got any reward but half the time I end up dead, respawn and come back to find I have no loot. Game needs to be Melee friendly or it will consist of everyone rolling Force Masters.

I am a Summoner, I manage to stay alive (or die very little), and I still get zip.

PvP can only be remotely interesting and fair with a bolster that gives everyone a chance, downscales overgeared in the lower areas, and bolsters the undergeared.

Come one, add a bit of joy and fun in BnS, stop making it so gritty realistic!

Quite similar to my own experience, except I decided to try it before I was forced to (just when I got the quest to go win or lose in arena).

Also, as a Morce Faster, I like your nickname. Keep it up +1

Trust me, you might not want VOIP in PvP with randoms, unless you are really into the creative ways of using gay slander, and it ads to your ERP experience. Coming to PvP a couple of years back made me relieve a cultural shock of a sheltered young specialist that came to the oil rigs of Northern Alberta right out of the Uni. Except PvPers are also creative, and care less for anatomically realistic the suggested combos are.

Well, I actually was more agreeing to the part where I didn't like PVP or the idea of PVP in games before this, but then gave it a try and surprisingly enjoyed it. I'm not a fan of VoIP at all, especially not with randoms.
