Fullscreen/window mode issues.

I' ll start with facts that i am using latest NVIDIA drivers on my 980Ti (clean install after DDU), Windows 10. 1x g-sync display.

 

In fullscreen mode I am running with ALT+Enter in so called true fullscreen as default fullscreen is just maximized window. I am not going to talk about FPS, it runs like it runs...

However, what bothers me is that I get crash after few alt-tabs to desktop/browser . There is no error message , just that blade and soul cradhed, nothing like driver stopped working or something reported in other threads. It is just obvious that game has some issues after each alt tab showing fragmented picture , huge fps drop slowly comming up after each switch.

Basically I am trapped in blade and soul and each check in browser brings risk of sudden crash.

Then i tried window mode, both (not)maximized . It allows me to safely minimize application by clicking - in upper right corner, however alt-tab still brings crashes. This would be acceptable, but there is another showstopper. Even if mouse is invisible in windowed mode and u have to hit alt to see it, it still tracks mouse position. Result is that if you look up/down it will still reach edge of the window and if u click there u actually click on toolbar or activate it if in auto-hide. Now you are out of your game window and u have to move mouse up and click to get back in .

Apart from that , sometimes there is huge fps drop capped at 20fps  in windowed mode. This is NOT my background fps setting and it does not change based on this setting. In this case i am forced to go fullscreen without option to alt tab.

Now I am keeping windows 7 image on my HD in case performance in windows 10 would be too annoying (current status) and be able to troubleshoot issues. Unfortunately I am able to reproduce same crash during alt-tab on w7 also with same hardware.

Behavior changes with each patch but i am not doing full test after each. Anyways, current status is that game crashes while alt-tabbing, not every time but it eventually will...
