Do i need to pve to arena?

Just wondering if anyone knew how much pve content you need to do to be the best stats/gear you need to in arena. I know everything balances out but maybe there are some things you need to do in pve as well? Assuming you're max level. Do hongmoon levels matter in arena? soul shields? weapons?

You can gain Hongmoon skills in pve to use in arena and experience for hongmoonlevel.

rest doesnt matter to my knowledge

Altough xp is gained trough arena too.

Things you will want to PvE for are hongmoon levels (extra skill points) and homgmoon skills (opness)
