Gold vs. Silver in Arena??

Why the hell are we as silvers playing against Gold ranks in arena? I dont know why this is allowed to work. Look at this screen. We were playing against 2 golds and oh yeah in my team there were only 2 people. Rofl. Much balance in this game. And this was not the first time. The whole day i am playing against golds but i only got silvers in my team which is ok because i am also silver player but then please dont put gold in the enemy team jeez.

Because you're close to gold and he's close to silver.

If you're within like 100 rating of gold, then you can expect to go against gold.

Is 100 rating in either direction really the range? I thought it was like 50.

mmm...maybe...I think I was matched up against a gold at 1540 though...

I don't recall seeing any silver when im above 1650 but below 1700 who knows. I also get stuck fighting the same guy 2-3 times in a row so RNG isn't clear :P
