Zanzatora
I haven't got any answer on pvp section of the forum, so here goes a copy of my post, hoping to have advice here ^^ Quote Hello, I'm a low gold, and I keep encoutering those trolling assassins : they come, use all their CDs with combos and such, then they run. When you're finally free of the CC, you got a slow poison on your ass, so you can't actually catch up with the assassin, who just waits up all his CDs from the other side of the map , then redo. If by any chance you manage to get your own combo, they just disappear and walk around the other side of the map : being slow, you can't get to them before they do (especially with the famous teleport-from-the-other-side-of-the-arena-mega-skill, which has more range than ur bolts). That's not even taking the smokescreen into account. So, any useful tips ?
Naab
The Sin has no skills with greater range than yours LMB/RMB. At most, they have the exact same range (16m). What you are seeing is a difference in travel time. With that out of the way: The "teleport" you are describing, is probably Blink Step, which works only out of combat and the Sin has to either Sprint or Glide => clue number 1! It will port him directly behind you (from his point of view) and stealth him. Doesnt grant any kind of evasion, or resists on use => clue number 2! So, if you see the Sin start sprinting/gliding, you know he is about to use it. When he disappears, you know he is behind you - so either use your fire TAB AoE to knock him out of stealth (no stealth = no stun), or you need to turn back and use Impact/Daze. If you cant turn fast enough, use defensive skills instead (Q/E/SS, Ice V) . Try to have a Frost Orbit up if possible. Sins hate Chill because it stops movement skills. Zanzatora
Nono, they do have a teleport which my friend says is 25m (LMB is 16), he plays plat sin :p. So yeah, it's still in the way xD... The anti-blink step tactic you have described is like the most basic ever against assassin and yes, it's pretty simple, and sadly I have mastered it, but it is barely 1% of the fight. The rest is good advice, thanks :) What I'm talking about is not a single anti or combo like you describe, but the whole gameplay style where they hit full CD, control, poison, run and hide and wait, then go again. rocdog
That's assassins though. They can't tank you, so they're all about hit and run.

Vau
spec some points into ice, you can freeze them in place in the time that they are out of stealth. even if they manage to get back in they are still frozen and cant move for most of the duration. it happens to me all the time as assassin. use your 2 ability directly behind you when they do stealth to instantly remove there stealth and do more damage. if they are frozen and flip away into stealth they are stuck in position about 5 meters back from were they were. its all about knowing where they are gonna be, and your 2 has really good range and if specced in aoe you dont have to be very accurate with it. i play both classes 45 assassin and 36 FM the biggest problem i have with FM is they seem to be aggro magnets in PVE, so far nothing can hold aggro over me, which sucks because i have like nothing to deal with boss aggro. toburlao
i guess the best option is to start very agressive, i always open with 3+LMB,RMB+1+Z and frost fury if crit, so he have already 2 chill stacks and i got 1-2 frozen orbs from start. At least he has a hard time early. Still if he plays the combo+run and hide is pretty hard to win.
