Victorion
You will have to reinstall to make sure everything is registered correctly.
stormfury2
I think you can do that without re-downloading the client. I was messing with the install paths and registry paths last night, I will try this tonight and let you know if it is possible and post how to achieve the same assuming it worked. I initially installed it on to my HDD without realising so I dragged the folder to SSD, deleted from HDD and ran it as normal. Did nothing special, no re-downloading. stormfury2
There are some things to consider, the launcher has a cache path to download files which you can set in the configuration file, which is located in the launchers dir, I think it's the only .ini config file, modify that path if you're moving the launcher as well. There are 2 registry keys that can be modified too which make sure the install path and registry keys match. Assuming you're on a 64bit version of windows the location is HKLM > Software > Wow6432Node > NCSoft - after moving make sure the key strings match the paths to your locally installed copy of BnS. If it is a 32bit version it will just be under the HKLM > Software section. I will provide more detail later today when I get back to my PC at home. Houlon
I moved the whole of the NCSOFT folder from HDD to SSD then ran the launcher, made sure the "game installer download" in the launcher settings matched the location of the NCWest\NCLauncher\Download folder and played. Had no need to edit anything.
RoXor
You have to modify registry in order to change download folder and edit config file to change installation path. Welcome in 2016.
Emya
No need for registry edits. Please check this link: https://forums.bladeandsoul.com/topic/164946-guide-installing-blade-soul-on-multiple-pcs/#comment-1684975 ^ Just edit the directories as per your requirements Method tested on 2 PCs and a laptop. Hope this helps.

Hope this helps. That's fine, but the method I proposed didn't need to verify content because we already made the changes manually. I'm guessing the launcher looked at the reg keys and couldn't find the directory paths as they are different to what the registry files are telling the application. Either way will work but I prefer to be thorough and it also gives you greater control of where the launcher caches the download data during updates etc.
Benkies
I also moved the game to a new PC last week, it was pretty simple. I copied the whole NCSOFT folder in C:\Program Files (x86) and pasted it in the same folder in new SSD. Then I went to BnS main website and download the client (220MB), when I ran this client, it'll install NClauncher and detect the game. That's it.
